Dawning Event & Eva's Holiday Oven BUGGED
I started the Dawning event on my Titan. I Accepted the quest, got the Oven in my inventory (it had all the recipes from last year), baked a cookie, gave it to zavala, went back to eva, picked up some bounties, and then changed to another character.
I went to eva and got the quest on my second character (hunter). The oven was in the quests section so I clicked that and now I have an empty oven in my quest log and in the inventory screen. The only recipe I have is for Gjallardoodle. Didn't get any materials to bake that first cookie.
I switched back to the Titan and it also has an Oven with 1 recipe. Now the bounties are gone from eva's vendor screen. The only quest I have is Cookie Delivery Helper on step 1 of 7. On the quest details it says "Additional information about ingredient source and usage can be found by viewing the details screen on Eva's Holiday Oven 2.1"
My Oven is 2.4 but does not show any additional information.
I think I've reached my limit with the bugs in this game. I just today got my seasonal quest fixed since I was affected by the tonic brewing quest being bugged. If it's gonna take this long to fix that quest what hope do I have that the dawning quest will be fixed before the event ends. I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME BUT BUNGIE IS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE!

This is incredibly frustrating. I’ve been away from the game for about nine months and decided to jump back in during my Christmas vacation. Everything was going smoothly until this issue popped up. Like many others, I’m stuck after my progress was reset, and now I need to go back to the first step of baking a cookie for Zavala. The problem is, I don’t have the materials to bake his specific cookie, and those materials aren’t dropping in any activity because the game thinks I haven’t even started the quest. I tried switching to my other two characters, went to the Tower, and kicked off the Dawning quest again, but all three are stuck at the same step. It feels like I can’t even participate in the Dawning event, even if I wanted to start over, since there’s no way for me to get past the missing materials. It’s really making me question whether coming back was the right choice after all.

1 Replycuz bungie detected the upgraded event card was available for less silver then intended, they removed the purchase option for the upgrade. By doing so they deleted everyones event card and bugged the quests. The reverse FOMO must have been excruciating...

I paid 10 dollars for the event card and find out you gave it away for free to a bunch of people because you guys made a mistake? I want my 10$ back.

8 RepliesHere's what worked for me: log in to second character to pick up the oven. make and deliver cookies for zavala. This fixed the oven on all 3 of my characters.

Crap. I finished the oven quest on my Titan already and well on my to finishing the 50 cookies for the card. I switch over to my Hunter and Warlock to visit Xur and when I get back to my Titan the dang oven has reset. I went back to the other 2 characters and grabbed the oven for both. How disappointing!!!

Same exact thing happened to me. Started with Titan, switched, then bugged. I got the quest again on the titan, but the single ingredient will not drop for any char now. Good luck for a global fix 🫡

I have the very exact problem, I also started on my titan. Unfortunately I did all the quest, bought the upgrades etc. Then I switched chars because I wante to do more quests. I love this game, but this is just a waste of time when its in this bad condition.

Same and all I did was login to my old titan to get some bright dust ornaments 💀. I didn't even pick up the quest or visit the tower, until I thought that would fix it. Spoiler alert: it didn't.

Two others didn't get the ingridients to do the zavala cookie. Now i wanted to continue and my main is also at the same spot where my alts are. Because event card was disabled i didn't get the progress for the first mission and now i can't even get the emblem to start all the other challenges/triumphs. So yeah, fun times

I have the exact same issue, except I didn't have to swap characters. I was completed the intro quest and was completing some bounties from Eva, just went back to Eva and she game me the first quest again, resetting my progress without giving me the ingredients and leaving me stuck.

I have the exact same issue as the poster described and it was caused in the same way by changing characters after my main. It also reset the progress on the snowball kills which I had almost completed on my main. These bugs are out of control, like the original poster, I want to play Destiny but it feels like it is impossible to get progress for your effort. Seriously bungie, you really need to sort this mess out.

2 RepliesAlso stuck here. Gave Zavala the cookie and logged out. Now the quest is showing I need to bake Zavala a cookie again. I have no materials to do so, as I already did it, ran 2 strikes and zero materials are dropping, not even dawning essence, so whatever flag was supposed to be flagged when completing this quest to allow enemies and activities to drop materials hasn’t been tripped, so I’m stuck unable to progress.

I haven't even picked up the quest on any other character. I logged onto my Titan after starting the event on my warlock to buy the new armour for my Titan and now my warlock is locked out of everything... It reset the Zavala quest and I had to pick it back up (even after already progressing and getting the other quests) and the snow ball quest is also bugged. Good to see bungie were quick to fix the event card *eye roll* but have in turn completely messed up the entire event as you cannot even earn materials to progress the quest without doing the first step ...

same and almost did it the exact way you did which was start as titan do everything and had the oven plus bounties only to switch characters and then its all gone
