General tip VERY IMPORTANT
Similar to iron banner, you can wear a piece of Veteran Legend armor AND transmog that piece to be Veteran Legend armor at the same time. I’m wearing the Veteran Legend chestpiece and have the Veteran Legend chestpiece ornament on it. This counts as 2 pieces of Veteran Legend armor on so you can run an exotic while doing your title.
For Skywatch engrams
-Legendary drops from public event chests count. Instead of running around Skywatch for hours on end, do the strikes/crucible/gambit objective and just load into Skywatch when you see an event
-Public event rotation is as follows: steppes, mothyards, forgotten shore, repeat OR steppes, mothyards, forgotten shore, skywatch, repeat. If there are no public events on the map, don’t expect to see one in Skywatch for at least 15 minutes, which is plenty of time to do playlist activities
-The Major Ogre that spawns in the room under the cliff at Skywatch has the highest chance to drop engrams on death, right next to HVT Majors
-Engrams from HVT chests, world chests, and anything Grasp of Avarice do not count
By the time you complete your 25 strikes or whatever you’re doing for the playlist activities, you should have a majority of the Skywatch engrams done, only leaving you to do one or two hours of Skywatch patrol for engram drops
EDIT: CRUCIBLE MATCHES GIVE 8% TRIUMPH ON LOSS. THIS IS HUGE FOR THE ECONOMY

6 RepliesLoad into The Disgraced strike solo, proceed to Skywatch and farm in the strike. Better drop rate and no blueberries to screw you over. When the public event comes kill everything as usual until the boss spawns, don't insta nuke the boss, kill as many adds as you can while the timer is running, at the last few seconds kill the boss to get the chest. The adds at the end of the public event seem to drop engrams a LOT more frequently. Also, don't forget the Ogre under the map at the back.

1 ReplyAt this point, the Ogre is completely unreliable. Everyone beelines it to him whenever they spawn in and kill him so fast you won't be able to get over there quickly enough. There's also an invisible cool down between when he respawns, so if you spawn into a lobby that's waiting on that, you either wait it out or reload the area.

I just relied on the prime attunement. Head under helipad to kill the boss ogre and respawn back. Killing enemies when they move against along the way. It’s something
-
2 Repliesi killed that ogre 4 times and had nothing drop..i waited till the enemies were fighting each other and killed the yellow bars. plus if u see to many people around u wont even get the ogre spawning hopefully they get rid of this awful step

The Skywatch engram triumph is ridiculously long. This will take a week to get done.
-
You can also use private matches to get your playlist completions in, even solo.

Strikes count towards the engram?

***SNIPPED AND REPOSTED *** I’ve just done this, and the 4x timeline missions (solo), here’s what I did… 1. Wear the armour or icon armour. I obtained a special delivery package by finding/opening Cayde’s 5x treasure chests in the Pale Heart landing zone. The area is small and they’re not hard to find…but, if a guide is needed, check out 360GameTV - one of the best Destiny guide channels out there, imho. 🤔 The special delivery package, once claimed, will be available from that spot beside Rahool and just across from the Gunsmith. Triumph - 4x Timeline Missions. The portal is on the main Menu Page in the top right corner. Open it up and pick your mission(s)…they’re very doable even with a vanilla loadout, and take about 15mins +/- Triumph - Get kills / Engrams on the Cosmodrome. This is a grind…no two ways about it. The biggest challenge is that you’re fighting against 6+ Guardians at once for kills (combatants) and yellow-bar kills from which the engrams are most likely to drop. Also, the yellow-bar ogre underneath the broken railings by the helicopters did drop one or two engrams (only, for this old tortoise) if one is fast enough or times it right to get a few rounds in b4 the others unleash their insta-kill swords, to try claim it for themselves. And these ‘hares’ are fast! The Public Events were very slow to begin with, though after a while their frequency increased somewhat - or that’s how it seemed to me. Then it’s just a matter of slaying what’s available, and that’s it until you’re done! Took me about 3-4hours +/- in one session with a break for lunch…and to rest. This is by far the grindiest bit! As a solo player, not sure if one can team-up and do it…but it wasn’t too bad. I’ve got the PvE / PvP / Gambit Triumph to do, which I’ll do after reset. The only one left then is to gain rank 8… 😐 Hope this helps. Good hunting! Ease Springs! 🫡 ***END SNIP***

3 RepliesEdited by MrFuzzy8uk: 9/10/2024 8:13:54 AMI found that High Value Targets had better drop rates and if your Rng is good sometimes they drop 2, didn't like the Orge because in 7 kills it dropped 0 for me,👎 also public events never counted when I did get a legendary from chest?? Not sure why - best way I found was just stay in spawn on roof with a Scout and shoot anything I could see while looking out for high value targets 👍 but maybe RNG will be different for others.

5 Repliescan i get around not buying tfs to get to rank 8? or is that something i have to do
