Tracking Essence of Oversouls for the Catalyst

OK, I know that I'm going to sound like an idiot here, but just wondering how does one track the Essence of Oversouls AFTER one gets the exotic auto rifle from the Crota raid? I've gotten the exotic auto rifle, and yet I got a few Oversouls as well, but I've no idea how to track the ones for the catalyst if there's even a way to do that. Is there a way to do that?

When you have the cat then you can check howmany oversouls you need to unlock the Necrochasm catalyst, because you can get the cat by doing an extra thing killing knights.

In the nercochasm menu check its catalyst
