Give Warlock the second Icarus dash back
Give warlocks the second icaus dash back. The class is already at a disadvantage in PvP due to their god awful jump ability. Meanwhile hunters ruin every PvP match I touch. I can't play rumble without the lobby being 4-5 hunters besides myself. Its not fun and its crazy how everytime the warlock class anyhting mildly decent in PvP, its quick to get nerfed like the speaker sight helmet. Literally got nerfed in a week but I can still get swarm grenade, smoke and spectre spammed every gun fight. Honestly have every warlock subclass have icarus dash implimented in instead of being a fragment. The only fragment in the game thats literally just a movement that provides no benefit to ability generation or synergy. That would make the class on par with the other two in terms of movement.

4 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 7/23/2024 2:33:10 AMIts called snap skate, and its fairly broken when in the right hands. Problem with using snap-skate is the skill curve to use it properly. If your general movement is not fast enough to damage your self via sheer speed/momentum your not very good at PvP and is one of the big hoops of becoming a better warlock pilot. Its also worth pointing out that warlock when it had 2 dashes, was outperforming stasis on release before ANY nerfs/adjustments(confirmed by bungie in a TWAB before it became a TWID). Solar warlock has only gotten better since then with the exception of a celestial fire rework and 2 icarus dashes. So no they do not need it. God, could any of you skilled pvp players out their imagine 2 dashes and a snap......

Titan thruster and hunter dodge get a 5 second cooldown, and you can have your second dash. As far as I'm aware icarus dash is basically twilight garrison as a aspect, which I know more than a few of my titan friends would kill for, and I'd 100% trade a hunter aspect with warlocks for Edit: also are you really trying to bring speaker sights [u]infinite orb generation[/u] as a defense?

Ok… disadvantage in PvP is wild. Icarus is still one of the best PvP abilities and solar warlocks still slap in PvP… that being said… give them the second dodge back 🤷♂️

5 RepliesWelcome to destiny. If it has anything to do with hunters it wont get touched. If its titan theyll have it for a season the get nerfed. If its a warlock thing itll get nerfed sub a week. Looking at you stasis, nova warp, speaker helm. Hell they did nova warp so dirty its never been used again. Bungie still hanging on to this grasp itll be some kind of apex, or csgo mlg pvp game. Its not, theres no rock paper scissors to the game. They're perpetually stuck in a state of unbalance. Either the weapons or abilities. Pvp has been and will always be cancer to this game until everyone including bungie realizes itll always be unbalanced and leans into it. Hell d1 pvp was way more fun even with self rezzing warlocks.

Oh be quiet, all top pvp streamers constantly admit warlock is the best and fastest pvp movement class. Warlocks dominate pvp tournaments, snap canceling, dashing behind pillars mid flight, heat rises giving 100 ae on any gun Seriously, take your nonsense and begone. Remove ALL Icarus dashes.

You can literally be miles above people in PvP practically winning any engagement you start it. So how is a float worse then a enhanced basic jump. You are able to control yourself in the air better. And with the mid air dodge you can do alot

We already have the double Icarus Dash, it's just not free, as you have to consume your grenade for Heat Rises first.

Quick to get nerfed? Are you high? Dawnblade had the highest win rate in top tear PvP for years! It was well past time to get brought inline with other subclasses. As for wanting a double dodge back why should you have it after it was you lot who got the Titans and Hunters double dodge nerfed back in D1!

l was glad to get a class item for my warlock , until l used it. couldn't even get 2 grenade ice turrets . what a bunch of watered down nonsense. no wonder bungie has 192 combos its because they all are trash and you keep chasing for one that will work but never does. lm waiting for hard buffs on class items,or really as trashy as they are you should be allowed to run another exotic with them.

I disagree. Dawnblade is probably one of the best all around PvP subclasses and always has been. How about instead of making an already very strong subclass better, we focus on something actually important, like I don’t know, Titan being absolute garbage?

I usually play Voidlock.. but I recently tried some Daybreaker. Def the best super to wipe out a side.. but other than that the abilities seemed kinda lacking when compared to my child of the gods with a rift, the handheld melee.. the grenade can be powerful.. but yes that dash is everything (I agree).. I don't care for the heat rising cheese with wings of sacred dawn.. I'm trying to outduel someone not out-gimmick them. Something there, if not the double-dash, would be nice. Haven't tried arclock in PVP in a while.. don't see them much either. Hunter grenades and that clone is just everywhere.. -
You do have 2 Icarus dashes when you consume a grenade for heat rises
