Legendary Lost Sector vs Vex Incursion Zone...

It's very difficult to understand Bungie's way of thinking. I'd even say it's almost impossible. Let's take as an example the Legendary Lost Sectors where you have to do the mission solo, no lower than 1830, with locked weapons, clock ticking, limited lives and which in the end does not necessarily give you the exotic engram for the long-awaited piece of armor that you want (until you have them all of course). In short, you have to start again and again before you manage to get it. Why? If we look at what happens with the Vex Incursion Zone, you can be 2 players or 10, change weapons, be low-level, die and come back as often as you want and at the end of the activity... BINGO! You have the exotic engram. Always new stuff as well (until you have them all of course). Just once and it's done! Why? So why make it so long and complicated for one and so quick and simple for the other? Getting through a Legendary Lost Sector is much more difficult to do compared to the Vex Incursion Zone. No? Sometimes I wonder if they talk to each other at Bungie to make sure that the game make sense. Until we meet again, keep on gaming guardians... :)

  • 1st you can subscribe to Asher on X and he will tell you when to login and where the Vex Incursion is taking place so you will never have to wait for "leg day" and then spend the time looking up builds..etc and then run though a Master lost sector. I believe that is why they added previous world drops to them to make them more desirable to run. I agree that Vex Incursion is WAY easier. I also agree...with WTH don't point that out to Bungie!! Are you crazy!! You can get the new exotics on day one of an expansion if Bungie adds them to the Vex Incursion loot pool in like 5 min. and don't have to wait to level up your light level to master lost sectors or anything like that.......get the duct tape! We make sure this never gets out!!

    • 2 reasons why your argument is flawed. 1st, by the time a vex event shows up, you probably completed 10 lost sectors, unless you happen to log in at the time it starts. 2nd, the vex event is harder than a lost sector, unless you have multiple players doing it, while a lost sector is very doable solo. If you are unable to do a lost sector solo, you will NOT complete the vex event with just 2-3 players chief. Unfortunately, lost sector rewards are rng based, sometimes you get exotics, most times you will not.

        • Most lost sector on MASTER takes less than 5 Minutes with platinum. Vex incursion comes once every around 4-6 hours, how can you even compare

            Sshhhhhh! All that would happen from this is that Bungie messes with the Vex Incursion event and makes it harder to get the new exotics. They’re definitely not going to reduce the lost sector requirement or buff the drop rates from completing them.

              If you're efficient you can clear them faster than you clear a full vex incursion. If you're not than hope you play your lives. That's what the timer is for. It could take you 3 hours, it shouldn't, but if you die you get pulled from the lost sector.

              • 1830 is the reccomended light for legend lost sectors. You can be much lower and still do them. The timer is for your revives. The activity has no time limit.

                • Running Lost Sectors takes substantially less time to complete than waiting for a Vex Incursion to occur, hence the LS have a chance of dropping while Incursions guarantee a drop. At least, that's the logic as I see it, but I could be wrong.

                  • I've wondered this for months, myself. It makes no sense whatsoever. I have always been an advocate for eliminating ALL modifiers in PvE side, as well. It was never a good idea to begin with. At least the PvP modifiers serve a real purpose. The most stupid part about this is if they removed all that bullsh*t from PvE activities, I bet there would be alot more people engaging, and these activities would be alot less tedious. That tedium is what kills all drive for most anything. It would not kill the difficulty either. They're effectively bloated trash.
