It essentially works like this: Most recently released raid (currently Crota's End) First run on a class that week = 1x pinnacle drop per encounter, 5 spoils per secret chest, 5 spoils from challenge mode chest, 0 spoils from encounters Second+ run on the same class that week = 0 pinnacle drops from encounters, 0 spoils from already opened secret chests, 0 spoils from already opened challenge mode chest, 5 spoils per encounter Exotic isn't farmable - however there is an exception to that with Crota's End (Necrochasm) because you can rerun encounters to have a chance of Essence of the Oversoul Weekly featured raid: Pinnacle drop from final boss, all encounters will drop weapons/armor regardless of how many times you do them. Depending on the raid some will give 3 spoils the first time you've completed an encounter on that class Secret chests are still on weekly lockout Exotics are farmable. Opening the VoG and Vow secret chests will drop 5 spoils per chest (weekly class lockout) Most recently released dungeon (Warlord's Ruin) First run on a class that week = pinnacle drop per encounter, one chance at exotic. Second+ run on a class that week = regular power loot drop, no chance at the exotic Weekly featured dungeon Pinnacle drop once per class from final boss, loot is farmable, exotic is farmable
