Ban For No Reason and Ban Appeal Not Working
Hello,
PLEASE HELP US BUNGIE:
My domestic partner and I, Luthien1138 and myself, Senior_Siesta, have been banned without reason. We were playing, just opening chests and getting Baryon Boughs in the Dreaming City and generally exploring together and then after reset both our accounts were banned.
When I go to the Ban Appeal section of the Help page and click "Submit Appeal" it just logs me out of Bungie.net and returns me to the main splash page where you select "Destiny" "Marathon" etc. Over and over, in different browsers, on my phone, with or without the VPN, all the same results.
Bungie... this game has brought myself, my domestic partner, our 14 year old son, and a close friend all together. We truly, truly did nothing. No cheating, no bots, nothing. Nothing. The only thing I can think of is that the day before yesterday we connected our accounts to a new PS5 via CrossSave. This is the ONLY change. Otherwise there has been nothing but casual playing.
PLEASE HELP. You should have my email, PLEASE EMAIL ME or please, can a moderator or someone from Bungie get me an appeal form. I've put thousands of hours into this game between my previous PS4 and my PC and even re-purchased ALL the DLC's so I could play on the PC full time.
As a family we have spent HUNDREDS on this game. Please take us seriously. Please help.
I don't know what to say other than we are truly innocent. Look at any previous gameplay. No sudden spikes in anything that would indicate cheating, there can't be. Nothing out of the ordinary. This seems like either a glitch or a completely arbitrary ban. Please help. Please reach out to me as my route to reach out to you is cut off.

i'm the 14 year old son he mentioned. we are in the same clan. nobody is cheating. sometimes we play on each other's computers/playstations but that's it. please help. i have a lot of things I wanted from Destiny for christmas but now i don't know. please remove the ban because my parents are normal people who haven't done anything wrong.

1 ReplyI am luthien1138 Everything is exactly as he says. We were just goofing around this morning and then this evening we signed in to play together as a family and myself and he were both banned. I was able to log in to file an appeal but he has been stuck in a hell for the last hour and a half of signing in and being signed out and over and over and he can't file an appeal. Destiny 2 is a FAMILY THING for us. We have spent a TON on this game. Bungie, we buy not just your expansions but your merchandise, shirts for the kids, toys, bookls... We are a Destiny 2 family. Please, please help us...

1 ReplyEveryone, please keep in mind I'm not openly asking for re-instatement: simply an honest and fair chance to appeal since the website keeps logging me out when I try to file one. Some kind of contact with Bungie or an explanation. Just some way of showing our gaming history as a family so that it can clearly be proven there has been no strange behavior.

2 RepliesHello, I’m sorry this happened to you. I have a friend who thinks he was banned from CrossSave as well as the same thing you described happened to him. He unfortunately never appealed and stopped playing because of it. I have played with your son DiscipleOfTheWitness before and he tells me you guys are normally just casual players. Most people that I have seen cheat are doing so in trials to get the upper hand, not exploring the dreaming city. You guys seem like good people so I hope bungie finds this and unbans you. From what I have read, you did nothing to deserve it.

6 RepliesSorta the same, I was on fortnite, when I got a notification from the PSN (playstation network) saying that I was permanently suspended, even though I didn't do anything. I didnt even get an email saying why. I did some reasearch, and now there are a ton of ppl saying the same. Even ppl who use the ps5 just for tv & streaming services got banned. It seems to be a glitch, or a server is down. No need to worry.
