Please stop using X/Twitter for updates
X/Twitter doesn’t show updates in chronological order unless you log in, and I don’t want to create an account especially if they’re going to start charging everyone soon.
There are lots of simple options, like flat file in an s3 bucket, that are pretty standard to use nowadays. Please stop using X/Twitter.

Maybe they will make it a lore card requiring the player to leave the game in order to learn the technical status of the game.

Yes, Bungie help, or Destiny 2 help should have a DEDICATED STATUS UPDATE where they can post, "Updating servers" "Servers being D'dos'd" "There's an error for X weapon" etc. I have to go hunt on Twitter or elsewhere to find out info on the game's status.

Bungie will fix this. They have unlimited access through Sony to international government intelligence agencies, CIA / NSA/ FBI/ MI7...these DDoSers aren't going to be able to hide forever. They can be behind 15 firewalls, TOR, etc. When Bungie lawyers want to escalate through Sony to US intelligence, it will be game over and these people will be doing community service/jail time. I wish that our passion didn't have to always lead to toxicity. Justice will get served....we'll be back to normal soon. Mess with bungie and expect lawyers and law enforcement.

Doesn't matter if we use X/Twitter or this forum. Bungie devs are being pushed to their limits and this needs to be raised up according to how each person feels is appropriate. We get their position, we need outbound communication from the studio to stop begging to play a game we love.

No freaking seriously. If rumors are true about the taking about charging to use the app it’ll really be a useless way to deliver players information. Use your own website fhs Bungie.

7 RepliesTwitter sucks but you are forgetting that this app goes down when they bring the game down. So how do you check to see if the game is offline if the app is where you check and it is offline? Then you wouldn't know if it is just your account or maintenance. And before you say "well they give you a heads up", no, there is no warning for emergency maintenance. They also can't use Bungie.net cause how do you warn that Bungie.net is down, on Bungie.net that is down? So they use Twitter.....

They should outsource those announcements to their best of the best streamer cast. Seems logical to me. Perhaps they could single one of them out and make them Czar XTwit!

Just get it second hand from some youtuber or someone in the forums like I do, I never bother to access Twitter.
