Vex strike force is a public event on Neonuma, it drops a guaranteed exotic armour piece that you don't have, including new ones tied to lost sectors. It's in 1 of the 3 areas each week & rotates weekly. It's active every day, other than when terminal overload is in that area for the day, so it's active 2 out of every 3 days unless weekly reset affects this, so it may get 3 days running or 1 but as a rule 2 out of every 3 days it's active. It's super random as to when it starts, it can see gaps of 12 hours or 5 mins & is beyond frustrating to catch regularly without help. There's bots that send notifications when it's about to start, but most are delayed, discord bots can send notifications after the events have ended, but the twitter bot has never failed me. If you don't have twitter (X), get twitter (X), even if it's just for this, it's very much worth it if you need exotics, a simple 2 min sign up is worth it. Follow @VexNetAssistant , click the notification icon on their twitter bio & have twitter notifications turned on. You can go into your device settings & give it a different sound so you know it's a vex alert. Notifications pop 4-5 mins before they start, plenty time to turn the console/pc on & get to neonuma. If you load in & there's no one there or 1 guy, search again for another instance, you have lots of time as these take 6-8 mins so try 5-6 times to find people. You can use any weapons ,but if you want to help & are low on options use witherhoard or le monarque, keep the bosses burning so they don't shield, but it's really not a big deal, these are very simple, just stay with the group & don't be that guy who tries to clear an area by himself, helps no one.
