All these Destiny copycats come and go, and D2 still maintains hundreds of thousands of players daily , yes seasons are boring, the story is hit and miss, Bungie prioritizing positive bugs over negative bugs, unstable servers, way too much focus on Eververse, unchecked cheating, but its ability and gunplay is very addictive, and the dopamine hit of finally landing that elusive weapon or armor is hard to walk away from
Same goes 4 warframe, a small Canadian developer of a completely free to play game, who displays more passion and care for there game and community than most big studios today , still going strong and making fresh content and hot fixes daily, I think Sony should have bought Digital Extremes instead or also than Bungie to make there live service games, just imagine what they could do with an unlimited budget
Just my 2 cents, I try other live service games, but they don't keep my interest like Destiny and Warframe

7 RepliesBecause Bungie and DE are the only developers who are willing to commit the resources necessary to do them well. Ubisoft/Massive was one for awhile…but The Division 2 is dying a slow death from a lack of meaningful content and things to do. It hasn’t had an expansion in almost 4 years.

You mean the only live service games you like.

9 RepliesYou do realize the player count is inflated with bot accounts, and people just sitting on the title screen who didn't turn off their system. Why do you think they're server connections are so bad? They're system is literally set to swap between bots to real players when one goes past the title screen.

And Manic Miner.

1 ReplyEdited by GPrime96: 7/15/2023 9:11:22 AMFrom someone who played Warframe for 5+ years, Destiny 2 feels more like a balanced game even with some of the BS that’s in this game. Enemies that can outscale and shred you when not prepared, boss fights that uses damage rotations for one phases Solo or in a Team (besides some exceptions), loadout synergies for a benefit that can be reached by 1 ability or mod in Warframe, and much smaller AoE on explosive weapons, and more modifiers. Warframe have mods and synergies that can make you deal 2.14+ billion damage or 99% DR, map wide ad clear potential, armored enemies that can reach 99% DR or higher, invincible Warframes, map wide CC, nearly unavoidable OHKOs on frames without any type of gating due to enemy level scaling, inconsistencies with Eximus Overguard (more inconsistencies than Champions) Melee Weapons requiring no ammo for the same result or better than guns, lighter modifiers, infinite PunchThrough guns, infinite energy and no cooldowns (besides 2 frames), and hordes of enemies coming at you in almost every room. Warframe’s a mess of a game but i still play it though. I don’t do the PvP there though unlike D2’s PvP so there’s that.

3 RepliesEdited by Itcus: 7/15/2023 8:31:32 AMI've never tried Warframe, it doesn't look like my kinda game. When I'm bored of Destiny I play a few other games. Picked up Shatterline a while back and really enjoy the gun play in that game. Feels somewhat Destiny like in the shooting department and a good change. Plus it's free to play, like ACTUALLY free to play. If you're on Steam give it a go, it's different but worth the download.
