I would request that Bungie bring back the RED WAR Campaign and curse of Osiris DLC and among other things that have been vaulted from destiny 2 as a paying customer of destiny 2 I would say, it’s only fair that what a pain customer has paid for should be allowed to access what they have paid for from past to present purchases.

Please do it Bungie! I would pay every cent I have just to play Red War Again. 🙏

Bring back the redwar it been 3.5 years about

Edited by Techton Sombra: 10/19/2023 3:49:31 AMI personally would loved to experience Red War, Warminds, and Trials of Osiris. I never had the chance and I think Bungie should consider allowing new and veterans, which I technically now fit in both, the chance to experience the entire Destiny 2 storyline. It would not only bring a lot of players back, but probably even a nice amount of people willing to purchase a DLC. Within a reasonable Prince that IS NOT $100s. If it was 30 dollars in price, players would be more interested buying the earlier storyline as I would believe that most have already invested with the newer content like Forsaken, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall, and Final Shape

Myself and my entire friend group bought the £100 base game bundle and now it’s all inaccessible and the gear is useless in most circumstances. I understand an engine update outdated all old content but that hasn’t stopped other company’s for doing the right thing. What’s even more ludicrous is that a fulfilling campaign for new light players would probably boost their sales. As currently nearly all new players drop the game for a lack of understanding and care for returning characters.

I completely agree with what this person is saying. You shouldn't charge money for previous DLC's and expansions if the buyer can't even play throughout the entire campaign. Especially new players who come to try out Destiny 2. They would have no idea what's happening as they get thrown into the deep end of the game which most likely makes them want to play less as they want to understand what is happening. If someone has paid for DLC's and expansions they should be given the ability to play it whenever they please instead of purchasing it and not being able to play it. It's basically stealing the money.

Best campaigns. Also - it's not fair. Because all people bought it. Nice move. Bring it back!
-
Would be great if they get us to pay for it too ;)

I liked the Red War, Ghaul was a good villain (he essentially beat us and beat us badly), and Journey is still the best piece of music in D2.

8 RepliesWasn’t the consensus on red war campaign overwhelmingly negative? Tbh it’s a pretty meh campaign. Witch queen, forsaken, and beyond light are all much better imo. If they brought it back and made daily legendary/master rotations I would be ok with it though.
-
I totally agree. Removing content you paid for is almost like stealing. Having taken away my access to the content I paid for does not motivate me to buy more.
-
That campaign sucked tho. I feel like anyone hyping Red War just can’t let go of nostalgia. It’s easier to say things were good before, back when players weren’t burnt out on a 10 year franchise. Me? I’m good on Gaul Hamster-face trying to match with the Traveler on Tinder.

Edited by AncientMaster: 6/13/2023 6:12:26 AMRed War campaign was peak D2 storytelling imo. Its painful to me that all the old destinations and maps are just gone when some of us paid the 60$ when D2 launched we should be able to play the content we bought. I remember seeing that gears 5 had a section where you could choose which parts of the game you wanted to download cause the whole thing is over 100gbs, they should do something similar in D2. Be able to download which patrol planets and pvp maps you want to play, theres already an option to replay old Witchqueen and Lightfall missions they could implement that for all past content too. One can only dream I guess, it is Bungie. I wish they would address this issue at some point. I've been wanting to replay Red War story since I got back into D2 about a year ago, it feels torturous not having any concrete info on this subject from bungie devs. I'll also add that no other MMO in history has just vaulted certain parts of their game, it would be like if Halo2 had dlcs and you couldn't play the first 14 vanilla missions because it "causes issues" as they said.
-
You seem to be confused about buying something to own it verses paying to play it. Good luck.
-
2 RepliesI’d bet you $100 if they did, you would start the campaign and not even make it half way through before you realized you forgot to take your rose tinted glasses off.
-
No thanks. The story was cool. The rest was not
-
Just The Red War campaign.
-
I would rather then bring back past strikes

3 RepliesWould you even play it?
-
The only way Bungie are ever doing that is by trying to resell it back to you as "new" content. No thanks.

7 RepliesI think all vaulted content with cut scenes should be brought back. I'd rather watch cut scenes than run strikes. Just eliminate all the BS steps of collecting crap and talking to NPC's. Streamline the story missions into 1 node under "legacy." If raids fit I think campaigns will too. Personally I would love to take a day of D2 cut scenes and story. Play it like a movie (rotten tomato score not included).

Red war story line was actually pretty good.

Edited by YaTEdiGo: 6/12/2023 2:30:14 AMThe RedWar campaign was full of missions that have sense and are great and original, not like “patrol like” missions to make a minuscule campaign longer, like Shadow-keep, or repetitive bounty hunter missions like Forsaken; end game content was mediocre but the campaign was also great for new players, Bungies call, I Dont care anymore, I think it was a huge mistake, I see so many of my friends get lost and not finding any part of their initial destiny experience any good, they don’t get the story, they don’t get why is the seasonal mission in the front of their experience and have zero idea about any story driven sense in the game, and the ones who bought old campaigns cheap to try; get kicked out both by this and a terrible patrol empty driven campaign (Shadowkeep)
-
Then you'd complain that there's too much "empty" or "boring" content. It's all useless. No point in bringing it back.
-
Red War is only worth bringing back if it got overhauled to Witch Queen levels. If not, it's effectively worthless cause the post-game content back in vanilla was mediocre. Curse of Osiris in its entirety can stay in the trashbin where it belongs. Warmind was only good for Escalation Protocol, which Bungie could easily bring back since they brought the Futurescape area back.

I don’t care that it’s gone. It had its time and place but it’s old.
