Hopped into Destiny after being out for years and for some reason my Bungie Name is GuardianXXXX. I'm guessing it was caused by migrating my account from Battle.net? Either way I've never changed my name before.
In the Account settings page, I'm trying to change my name and I get a box that says SAVE SETTINGS with text underneath stating "You can only change your Bungie Name one time." but it refuses to save. Once I refresh the page, I still have the Guardian name thing. Anything I can do to resolve this??

6 RepliesHello there, If your Bungie Name has been changed to "Guardian####", that indicates that some part of the name broke the Code of Conduct or the Bungie Name Policy, was filtered, and can no longer be used. You can try a different name if you have not previously changed it. If the system is not allowing more changes, there is no way to override it. Additionally, I am not privy to what portion of the name policy or code of conduct your name was running afoul of. All I can advise is that once the name has been moderated by Bungie, it is no longer available for use. If you have a name change available still, you can change it to a different name. Unfortunately at this time we are only able to change our Bungie Names once, regardless of if it was intentional, a typo, act of siblings, pets, or other errors… one shot is all we have. Please see https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/7648312251284-Bungie-Name-Guide for more information. Currently, Bungie has not announced any plans for a second change. Bungie has not made any announcements of plans to allow further name changes.
