I really enjoy running raids and dungeons; however, after about 10-15 times it truly becomes a tedious chore. It’s to the point where half of the LFG posts are ‘Boss Checkpoint Please’, get your weekly disappointment over with and then log off. I think if after 5 clears you haven’t received the exotic Banshee should have a quest for you or something.

1 ReplyIts true man , its just a boring game now. I got to a point to get the exotic from warlords ruin i did like more than 30 times the dungeon and still i didnt get the exotic, my friend does the dungeon 2 time and got ir and he still doesnt know how to do the dungeon, just got carried . Same as the last wish one thounsand voices , my friend doesnt know how to do the raid he just got carried and on his 2nd attempt got the exotic just unffair to players.

All last season we ran spire did all the extras except solo master and I never got the bow. At this point we stopped playing it . Its killing the game just for a weapon . It leaves a guy like whats the point running it when the RNG is so worthless. It sure is not worth your time . Bungie should be paying us to play this nonsense. I would expect less players to buy or even play this game if they get a taste of never getting anything for there time invested.

Raid exotics should be guaranteed after 20 looted clears of not getting it

1 ReplyEdited by WulfPak666: 1/29/2023 4:37:52 PMRaid and Dungeon exotics give you a nice touch of euphoria when it drops within the first 10 or so times you play the raid but after the 40-60-80th+ time of just grabbing Boss CPs it's more of a "thank f-ing god with this 💩" I especially love the "exotic drop booster" triumphs Bungie included for the Dungeons. So there i am, grinding out all the challenges for increased drop rate for the Bow. Did the dungeons 3x a week since launch, still no bow. Yet I can painstakingly carry 2 noobs and they both get the bow on their first ever completion. F*ck that Sh*t. It's worse with Raid exotics imo, even more so if you've got those types of raiding buddies that drop the game entirely once they get what they want. I've never been RNG blessed by any raid exotic so when my buddies get it within 10 or so runs, they just stop playing altogether so myself and the 1 or 2 others that don't get it have to LFG boss CPs every week and it's so frustrating. Raid or Dungeon exotics for that matter should either be a Quest that requires multiple runs, tied to a set of triumphs or a guarantee on Master or a Master Challenge.
-
1 ReplyThey should've stuck with the concept they used in Grasp of Avarice. You get the quest, run the dungeon, and get it first try, with the option to go for the catalyst in a master or legend mode. Further proof they don't respect the players time like they LOVE to claim time and again.

Imagine running a raid 10 to 15 time with not receiving the raid exotic, making a post stating that he isn’t have fun chasing the exotic after so many clears, only have a bunch of people on the forums saying he wants it for free, that he is a casual. Look, I get it. Some of you have nothing in your life that a exotic from a game that very few players got helps you feel better about your self. But trust me, if you worried less about what others have, it will do you some good.
-
I agree with the premise of this ( getting the gun guaranteed after so many clears), but I think 10-15 is a little low. Even with normal RNG, 10-15 clears isn’t going to net you all the loot. So I don’t see why it would guarantee the exotic to drop. Personally, I think the raid/dungeon exotics should have cool quests tied to getting them than RNG. I refer to Outbreak Prime/Wrath of the Machine’s exotic quest set up.

I FINALLY GOT TOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST RUN EVER ON MY TITAN, 20 ON MY HUNTER, 21 IN TOTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 Replies10-15 a lot? Oh boi .... Peoples lfg checkpoint in their single digit completion Main issue is that not too long ago the community started to think they were entitled to stuff since they are making more and more stuff easier ...peoples think its the right time to complain about everything and nothing If I were bungie the RNG of exotic would be calculated riding the dungeon /raid so checkpoint with no clears on previous encounter would be a 0% chance Also peoples nowadays have no self worth ...this is why most of the seals aren't worth much since most of the new read seals are cheesed with Checkpoint hopping and PvP is just a bad ego fueled camo fest Gaming is changing for the worst to accommodate the new generation of player ...for the worst
-
6 RepliesYeah. I never got the sword from Duality or bow from Spire. I won't be buying dungeons in the future if they remain like this.
-
The raid exotic should obtained from doing the seal, it takes alot of effort to do the seal and making it a reward for doing it would be great but also keep the rng for people that don't want the seal. Maybe just add boosters like you do with the dungeons. One of my clan mates had to run DSC 90 times for his eyes of tomorrow for the seal, he said he hated the raid by the time he was done. It shouldn't be that bad

Exotics should be guaranteed on the first completion.

Edited by TheShadow: 1/29/2023 4:52:17 PMI don't and never will run the raids in D2, but to ask them to just hand things out like candy is why things are the way they are. This business doesn't care nor wants to look for what some would hope for, and that is a happy medium. Nor do they even know what the word consistency means that the game is broken when it comes to its structure which is this game's downfall. The loot system in this entire game is broken that the players logic is broken, and this business is 100% responsible for what they have caused. The most unorganized, inconsistent, business out to date. Let me explain what I mean, but this will be long. D2 started as a hand-me-out cosmetic game to play dress-up, the dumbest thing to ever happen to destiny, and it's still being designed that way 6 years later. The base game left a lot of players feeling there was nothing to strive for at all because when things are handed out like the stupid cosmetics in the shop, who the hell really cares after years of the same BS being handed out over and over and over again other than new players knowing they have no value at all. Unlike D1 when the loot was placed in the activities, it gave players an incentive to run whatever activity, and the player wasn't flooded with garbage as they are now. (This^ alone has messed up the player way of thinking,) not all, but a good portion, and this business is at fault for not changing their ways in 6 years now. When it comes to the loot system in this game more and more players are expecting everything to change to make it easier for them, the reason being is because the loot system is divided to go from one extreme to the complete opposite. The shop Seasons All of the activities, and destinations, hand out things like candy, and hundreds of duplicates with all the old junk loot used as a filler for the loot pools that most are fed up with. Then when you look at... Raids Dungeons Lost sectors, etc... Is reasonable that it is harder to acquire items from those activities, but the (rigged "RNG") is not, and there lies the actual problem that leaves players so damn frustrated because most of the game is hand-me-out junk loot that it causes players to think, well, 3/4 of the game is hand-me-out junk, why isn't end-game activities the same way? If this business knew how to be consistent, and designed a proper loot system as they tried with D1, things might not be as bad as things are now that it is literally out of control that the system and the players logic are broken.

39 RepliesAll raid and dungeon exotics should be tied to quests. But nope Bungie = Lazy
-
Well, one has to pay extra for dungeons these days, so just think of it as Bungo's way of making you get your money's worth. Also, consider, that when it comes to greed, nothing is off Bungo's table. I'm sure they'd love to sell a 'Dungeon Premium Pass' for an extra tenner, that guarantees the exotic within the first five / three / seven clears. Budget tier dress seller lol.
-
The exotic of that Raid or Dungeon shouldn’t drop, but I do think an Exotic armor piece or Dungeon/Raid piece should drop after 20 clears.
-
10 RepliesMy god most of you guys wouldnt have survived in old games XD. "I want everything right now ! Or as soon as possible or else this game is trash !" Seriously, having something rare to drop feels exciting. And 15 runs of a dungeon is Nothing.
-
Increasing the drop rate by 3% each time you don't get it sounds decent. Bungie could still get folks to do some grinding but after awhile the drop would be guaranteed
-
2 RepliesLaughs in 125 vault clears before I got my vex

4 RepliesEdited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 1/28/2023 5:02:27 PMAt least raid weapons are craftable and focusable from now on. The old ones will be updated too. Not dungeons though. They are being left behind and are easily the least rewarding activity in the game because they don’t have focusing or crafting to alleviate the unreasonableness of basic RNG. It’s SIGNIFICANTLY easier and less time consuming to get multiple raid weapon rolls and even multiple adept weapon rolls you’re looking for than it is dungeon weapon rolls. It’s so laughably inconsistent and unreasonable at this point. I’ve lost all interest in dungeons because of this.
-
2 RepliesAs someone who ran full VoG’s over the course of a year to get 7 people vex, yeah I agree. I “worked” for mine too and I don’t think it should be the way it is. Yeah it’s a euphoric moment when it finally drops but it really sucks for those stuck w/ out it for so long Some sort of bad luck protection at least needs to be implemented, if nothing else
-
I wouldn't care about a low drop rate IF we could farm exotic drops or having a in-game modifier or something showing you your drop chance and actively showing your bad luck protection going up I've ran spire fresh since launch and have yet to get the bow or a decent long arm
-
19 Replies5 clears? Lol. So after the second week of it being live, you should get it handed to you? I'd be fine if a quest dropped the next season for the dungeon/raid exotics from the previous season.
-
1 ReplyI’m not sure how many times I’ve done the new dungeon and still no cowboy hat for me. I got all the other armor pieces and even the exotic bow, but can’t get a hat.

Edited by waterpolo1: 1/29/2023 1:58:29 AM
It’s to the point where half of the LFG posts are ‘Boss Checkpoint Please’
I also see a tone and half people in LFG posting for "Shiro Chi CP PLS" and that takes 1 minute to get with the wish wall.
get your weekly disappointment over with and then log off.
Yeah. That's what bungie wants. They want you to log in and play the game. If you were guarantied the exotic you'd stop playing and would not even log in and that would hurt their bottom line. It would also kill the raiding similar to the Garden of Salvation situation 2.5 years ago. Quest are a weak. I have 1 Garden clear, and that was because the I joined at a boss CP where we backtracked and to get the puzzles done. After getting the raid exotic, there was no reason for me to even touch or learn the raid. This isn't just me, this is overall the least completed raid in Destiny for a reason.

Lots of raid and dungeon exotics are trash. Just run the activity’s you want and you might get it anyways.
