Nightfall Weapon Drop Rate Sucks
Nightfall weapon drop rate on hero is nonexistent. I just ran this for the last 3 hours and no nightfall weapon. Bungie will give you garbage exotics before they will give you the nightfall weapons on hero. I received two exotics that were garbage and no nightfall weapon. Come on Bungie fix the drop rate on hero or include matchmaking on legend.

Of course they penalize solo players... Warden law took me 18 vangard ranks before i dropped it and with the bow this week im about to do the same amount of stupid time... Not worth the time and so repetitive that after i get it i stop playing destiny.. Gratz bungie you know how to bore players...

I agree with this drop rate problem. The drops seem bugged. This is is just for the non-adept version, why should the drop rate be this stingy, we're not going to "break the game" if everyone gets one of these Nightfall weapons. And while this is a bitter pill to swallow Ive taken -40s through GM with zero problem, so its now more of you problem. Work past your mental block or find a kind soul willing to help ya out in GM. If your posting here you have access to fireteam finder. Zero excuses.

Anybody with a brain knows players can do higher difficulty activities but it does not mean it can be done at the leisure of the player. Instead of bashing a player about why they wont do Master or GMs, the question should be is why is there no optional matchmaking or LFG in a game that has been running the same style of NFs for over 5 years. If a player can run 3 hours worth of HERO NFs, there should be a way for them to run higher level activities as well. Just lazy and saddening that the core systems are as ancient as the engine is.

15 RepliesI complain about this every week, and so do a lot of people. And people always come back with just "do Grandmaster or master" like it's that easy. Some people can't do lfg or have a fireteam. The word "Uncommon" shouldn't mean never. The warden of nothing nightfall I did 23 in a row with no drops

13 RepliesLook, you need to push yourself a bit and do GMs. I just started GMs this season. They are not that bad if you play cautiously. You cannot rush them like Legend NFs or even Master NFs. Make a fireteam, ask for help. I play solo almost exclusively but LFG has been great for NF and other master activities. I really dragged my feet on LFG, but have come to appreciate it. Met some chill folks.

8 RepliesStop doing hero difficulty. Do Master or a Grand Master. You can make an lfg post for both or join one of the many posts out there. The drop rates are low on the easy difficulty versions for a reason.

In Lightfall NF guns are going to be focused or something to do with Zavala GM drops are now obtained by spending Ciphers you get from GMs also apparently.

I ran an experiment for you over the last few days . I did 56 runs of scarlet keep , think 4 or 5 where on legend. All the rest on hero. 5 'horrors least' drops ; last one on run 54 ( all dropped on hero) Lost count of exotics Ranked up twice and some with Zavala Gained over 1000 legendary shards from dismantling stuff Had to make at least 2 golfballs from prisms i got. Over hundred at least extra ecores. Did get a really good roll of a fusion from zavala as well. LFG on legend was a bit uncomfortably ; one game two players where fighting over who was dying the most. Another team at final room tried to nuke the boss in one hit and everything spawned and they died. Only got exotics on legend , went back to Hero. Fastest run was 12.5 minutes , an arc titan running tier 10 grenades was spamming them non stop. Slowest run was 25minutes , joined into two players dead on 3rd plate. Think were newish players had low triumph scores and i guess low stat armor . seemed to die a lot. Who was playing ? All sorts really , lot of dredgens, some flawless, many other titles and twice saw gilded conquerors in there. Maybe they where doing other bounties such as Ada 1 s etc. As someone who only in the last year learnt how to use LFG and always relied on hero runs for weapons & pinnacles i did find the drop rate pretty bad compared to say when i was chasing the hung jury and palidrome in other seasons. It must have been in rotation last season because i had two in my vault around 1578 power. Its actually a good pulse ,was using it instead of my arc axiom or whatever its called. Too those suggesting do GMs or Master , yea ive been in both (not on this NF) by invitation; yes you do score much more loot but unless you know the sequences of when and where everything spawns and safe spots it could be a bit embarrassing and also which mods to use for extra damage , how to spawn heavy ammo - takes experience to learn that. Many different people play this game for many different reasons ; but we all pay the same price/money to play. I think less experienced players should have some fairer way of getting some of these weapons -- they paid for them same as the experienced / guru players. I thought the idea of adept weapons and perks was the reward for high end activities. Having to run high end stuff just to get a seasonal /rotation weapon that you paid for anyhow is a bit tough.

Hero is next to no chance at dropping do harder content scrub master it’s like 1 in 3 matches and when it has the modifier lightning crystals it’s Easier then a strike when your only lvl 1580

Take the past few weeks on average I was getting a drop every 3rd or 4th run Ended up with a few windaygoes GL all with really crap perks tho out of 6 in total every single 1 has full court perk, yes broken rng thing. Take the mindbenders shotty I got a handful those too out say 20 runs I got 4/5 maybe idk can’t recall, but what I can recall there all had really -blam!- perks like hip fire & thresh some even had same perks, again broken RNG something that needs fixing What use of farming weapons if your just gunna get same crap over & over again. Then take a NF with something decent & popular like auto rifle or hung jury scout you could farm it 20-30 times & not see it one. Yet the NF prior coughs up 4 or 5 weapons as there weapons you don’t really want, need or like Again inconsistent RNG or broken RNG There’s only 3-4 NF weapons I want but will bungie give them to me “nope” but we’ll hand over numerous copies of ones you don’t want, need or like It’s enuff to make you actually HATE the game. Been farming NF for those weapons I want since black armory days & that was like what 5-6 yrs ago now so yep definitely broken RNG when u can’t get something within 5-6 yrs anyone else would of quiet long ago. Unless it’s fixed I’ll be another 1 to quiet & find other game that doesn’t cause me to hatred towards it, after all definition of insanity is making the same mistakes & expecting different results. When something no longer enjoyable time to move on.

6 RepliesI'm going to tell you what you already know ... if you want to increase your chance at the Horror's Least, you will have to do a higher difficulty, i.e. Master or GM. Make sure you have a weapon and mod for Berrie and Unstop and LFG if you don't have clanmates. FYI: If you are dying a lot, perhaps you should change your play style to less aggressive to play your life. Good luck.

Matchmaking should honestly go up to master. It's not like you need communication to clear master nightfalls. Legends are easily solod so matchmaking there is a no brainer.

The whole system is horrific. There is no need for 5 levels for content or loot. Bungie needs to combine both Heroic and NFs into one playlist. Then allow the levels to actually dictate what you get based on amount and type versus chance. The fact this system has been around for so long and Bungie only seems to change Grandmaster is mind blogging and saddening. The Battle Pass boosts could have easily been added within the game as modifiers for difficulty and leveling. I am even more confused as to why NFs do not rotate in content daily or during play to help remove the boredom the playlist gives off. All the core systems need an update, plain and simple. New content will not help the game if the core itself isnt getting a revamp or rework. Just going through the motions. Just the bare minimal of effort and players are defending the cause.

Just run them solo if it's too hard to make a LFG post on this very platform you are complaining on.

Hero difficulty is not for farming. It's for new players to have their first "champion experience" , or to quickly do some bounties. Seriously, farming hero is like working at McDonalds and being surprised that you can't afford a Porsche 911 after your first paycheck. LFG for legend, then master - it's not rocket science. When you can finally breeze through master, try GM.

It is the easiest difficulty to run NFs on so it should have the lowest chance for rewards idk what you expect. Theres games out there the completely lock you out of specific rewards unless you do the hardest version of a mission available.

Just lfg for GMs, so much more worth your time. In three hours, you’d have at least 6 ascendant shard, and as many nf weapons.
