Poor Performance/ Constant stuttering and Jittering AMD 6750XT - Issue Potentially Resolved

Recently I upgraded from an Nvidea 2060 Super to a AMD 6750XT and for most games this came at a large increase in frame rates at much higher settings, due to the card generally being much more powerful. However the outlier to this seems to be Destiny 2, For whatever reason this is the only game that has issues. Regardless of what settings I play High, Medium, Low ect the game will have constant Lag spikes from 100-700 straight down to 20-40 then immediately back up, causing constant Stuttering and General Poor perfomance, Many times when casting abilities or many enemys spawn these stutters will be more frequent and seem to last longer sometimes causing entire freeze ups for multiple seconds. I've Tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the game, Ive tried uninstalling the shader Cache, Properly reinstalling the new drivers, Installing Older drivers and nothing has seemed to work. These issues make this game which I usually love to play, Literally unplayable and just not a good experience and with Lightfall upcoming I was hoping someone could help resolve this issue. Thanks EDIT: I saw on a reddit thread to undervolt the card in order to improve stability, and so I reduced the max voltage from 1200 to 1150 as this was the lowest I could get and remain stable, and now after an hour of playing, stuttering completely gone, now playing in max settings at 90-120 fps, in the final room of the Heist Battleground with many enemys spawn im at 90 with occasional dips to 80 but lowering of some settings seemed to resolve this. Current Specs: GPU: Ryzen 6750XT CPU: Ryzen 3600X MB: Rox Strix B450-F RAM: 16Gb x DDR4 3600 Hz Crucial ballistix Resolution: 3440 x 1440 144Hz

  • I currently experience the same problem. For me the performance problems randomly appear and disappear at server reset though, so i made my own forum post. I would like to try undervolting my GPU. Could you tell me which frequencies you set on your undervolt?

    • Disable ULPS in the Registry. It's probably DeepSleep states kicking in when not needed.
