Can you raid without mic?
I really want the kingfall raid loot without mic, i can hear ppl though, so can you?

There are certain parts where communication is important, although King's Fall needs comms much less than Vow does.

I raid with a dude regularly that will only say about 5 words per raid, and those 5 words are all call outs. You CAN do a raid without a mic but it will be harder to communicate and you might just get permanently stuck on add clear so that the rest of the team doesn't have to deal with poor comms.

You can if you know what to do. Most of the time it’s just, stand on this plate and switch positions. If you get torn while being on a plate, it might get iffy but you should be fine.

1 ReplyEdited by Accola: 11/22/2022 10:43:44 AMYes, but you need to know how to do the raid first obviously, but once you understand the raid you absolutely can, just good luck finding groups who will do a micless run who aren't asking that you play the game for 80hrs a week and have a PhD in grass avoidance. A happy medium if you're like me and hate LFG groups is using in game chat and using push to talk when needed, but that might not be possible on console without a controller with paddles. [spoiler]is push to talk even a feature on console? I genuinely can't remember.[/spoiler]

Yes it’s possible to do most of them fairly easily micless however you better be able to type pretty damn fast or be a damn good player otherwise you receive das boot.

Possible but not very enjoyable. If you want to actively participate you need to establish some sort of comms. I'm not talking here about the "just do add clear" type of situation.

With 5 other people who know what to do you can pretty easily. Last two encounters just will have to know what to do if torn. ☺️

Edited by MrFuzzy8uk: 11/22/2022 3:44:23 AMYou can usually find teams on lfg that will run dungeons with no mic but for raids a mic is preferred unless you find a group who doesn't mind taking you through with no mic or a PC group that can type will work 👍 but tbh I hardly see any no mic raid posts on here, the only no mic raids I see on lfg are for VOG and they only do the first 2 chests.

Generally every encounter has one ad clear role and so a no mic player can be put into this but generally a lot of mechanics require communication and if you aren't communicating it can easily cause a wipe a big reason why Bungie's adding ingame lfg over matchmaking. So as long as you generally are the ad clear person (Only a few mechanics don't rely on needing a mic and most are in VoG) you'll be fine.

I did Deep Stone Crypt and VoG for a while with no mic before I got one, I wouldn't recommend it but if it's impossible to get a mic then go ahead. Just expect to get kicked from a lot of teams, however.

Not recommended and you will probably have trouble finding a group that will take you - Do-able absolutely. Do-able for a 1st timer, yes but again the odds of finding a group of people to carry you are significantly smaller.

If you can't type X taken when you're in black and white you probably shouldn't be using a PC anyway. I have done Vow countless times without mic, without issue. I was the one calling out dunks for Rhulk among other symbols in the first encounter. Just type quickly.
