Destiny 2 is a run and gun game. Wether you are playing a strike and mowing down some enemies, sweating in crucible strafing in and out of cover or you are in a raid going from objective to objective you will almost always be in motion.
This is why I think perpetual motion in its current form is too powerful. According to the d2gunsmith after only 2 seconds it will grant 5 stability, handling and reload. After 10 seconds it will grant 15 to stability, handling and reload.
I think this perk makes many other perks feel obsolete. Why put on surplus on my Fortissimo when perpetual motion does everything just as well and I can still use my abilities? Why use rapid hit on a Messenger when perpetual motion already, without having to shoot anything, gives me free stability (equal to 3x rapid hit), reload and on top of it the extra handling? Just to give a couple of examples.
The perk is too easy to proc and the bonuses to the weapon given are too high.
At least thats my opinion.
What do you think?

ill give you an example on the title smg most players would rather have dynamic sway reduction over perpetual motion for PVP as DSR is better, but if you put perpetual motion on an aggressive sniper or an aggressive shotgun and it is simply not enough (other perks might help it such a elemental capacitor but on its own, it is not enough)

1 ReplyDisagree. It encourages people to stop camping. I’d rather get beamed across the map with perpetual motion than point camped.
