The traveler will leave
The traveler will fall
The traveler is not the only one of it's kind
The hive are not the last to be chosen by the light
Definitely one of the first two is true, lightfall would be woefully underwhelming if we didn't lose to the witness. Plus it's literally called lightfall, so there's that. Personally I think it will leave, since that's what it did to every other race it supported. Plus it would reinforce the idea that we are guardians of humanity, not of the traveler. I think lightfall and final shape could see us leaving the system (as mentioned in a previous altar) to chase the traveler. I think a third possibility is that not even savathun knew which would happen, but she knew that one of these two outcomes would come to pass, so one would be true and one would be a lie either way. Savathuns smart, but i don't think she is clairvoyant.
The third is probably a lie. If another traveler was out there, where was it during the collapse? During the red war? When savathun stole the traveler? Plus there's no mention of another traveler anywhere in the lore that I know of. Would be interesting to see though, maybe the traveler does fall and we leave the system to find another?
Last one could be true, I think by the end of all this we're going to see caitl and mithrax risen. I'm just curious what would happen to make the traveler choose them (for the hive it was the forsaking of their worms) now instead of hundreds of years ago when guardians first started rising. However this one is mostly speculative.

Third one is probably true. In the final cutscene of Shadowkeep, we converse with the Witness in the Black Garden. In the background, there are like six or seven massive, white, pyramid-shaped Traveler-like entities. The Witness probably captured those things, hollowed them out and modified them into massive ships to be repurposed. This explains why the Pyramid ships have massive paracausal energy signatures.

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 3/19/2022 10:26:12 PMThe Traveler falling is interesting. Fall…not exactly synonymous with death. Remember, the game the two gods play isn’t just who survives. It’s about philosophy, who is right. If the Traveler abandons it’s principles to save its hide? It proves the Winnower correct.

One truth, one lie: The kitten is dead. The kitten is alive. It's Schrodinger's Riddle. Which of the statements is truth? Which is a lie? Right now the box is closed, so we don't know.
-
<1 - I think false because everyone says it'll happen incessantly 2 - I think true because everyone thinks it's impossible 3 - false because zero evidence thereof 4 - true (please give Mithrax and the Eliksni the Light Gardener I beg of you)>
-
The traveler will leave - 50/50 The traveler will fall - 50/50 The traveler is not the only one of it's kind - i mean, there's mutiple pyramids, why not more travelers. The hive are not the last to be chosen by the light - devotion inspires bravery, bravery inspires sacrifice, sacrifice inspires death.....the cabal have been devoted to killing xivu's forces, they have sacrificed much to do so, and all thats needed, is one empress to show that those two things inspires her to die for what she believes in, and soon we'll have cabal ghost flying gyru the air in no time
-
Watch it NOT leave when Lightfall happens. They have been sprinkling in that lore so people are primed for it to leave in Lightfall, and when the Witness comes knocking, it WILL leave. Just like Han Solo. But at the crux when we’re fighting, it comes back to sacrifice itself to give us the chance to get away. (And then gather allies, support and supplies for the final assault in The Final Shape.)
-
3 and 4 are true. The Witness is after its heart and there's definitely gonna be Eliksni Guardians/Risen at some point. Multiple Travelers is obviously not true bc of the concept of The Light and bomb logic and its not gonna leave bc 4 events have passed where it could've left/not returned but it did.
-
We know from foreshadowing that the traveler will leave or try to leave. There is plenty of lore about this, plus in season of dawn we learned that was one of the truths the speakers used to say before the city. Also I'm almost positive the House of light will get guardians. Maybe Ciatal and her forces.

I agree with other comments that 4th is the most likely to be true. Other race have had the Light before humanity, and other races will have the light after us and the Hive.
Hell, the Kryll were supposed to get the light way before us, had the Witness not intervened and tricked them into making their pact with the Worm Gods
My bet is on the Cabal, And I’m imagining Caiatl thundercrashing into Calus lol. As for the three others, each one is interesting if true. My bet would be on the Traveler leaving one, since the Dark Future lore book explains that it left when Humanity needed it the most, in an alternate timeline, and they basically had to capture it in order to use the Light again. Since Bungie is careful about the wording of Destiny’s lore, I’d guess this would be the true statement based on that hint.

Don’t care That’s my take on it

All are true. The other games were variations of outcomes being all lies, two interchange half-truths/lies and a genuine game of two truths, two lies.

Edited by DarkenedAcolyte: 3/9/2022 10:16:31 PMI honestly believe this week was all truths. The Traveler will leave. Yes 100% The Traveler will fall. Yes 100% The Traveler is not the only one of its kind. I do believe that 100% The Hive are not the last to be given the Light. Of course they aren’t. Of course they aren’t the last. You’d be ridiculous if you believed this was a lie.

The Traveler is not the only one of it's kind can be true or false depending on context. In the Book of Sorrows, the Traveler was said to be one servant of the Sky, just like the Leviathan that tried to stop Sathona and her sisters from finding the Worm Gods. The Sky is also known as the Gardener who is the other God on the spectrum with the Witness. So it can be looked at both ways, being there's only 1 Traveler, or rather there are other paracausal servants of the Gardener and the Traveler is not alone
-
We know for a fact the traveler wants to leave so that's definitely one in my opinion and after that I'd say the one about it choosing a new race to give the light is also true since we were like the 3rd in line
-
1 ReplySo if the Hive Worm Gods tricked Sathuna/Savathun into leading her sisters into the deep because they Traveler was about to give them the light, wouldn’t that mean they were “chosen” before Fallen and Humans? Therefore the hive are not chosen last so this is the truth? Savathun loves semantics.
-
Let’s take a step back and ask, how the -blam!- does she know any of this to begin with? Isn’t this all just her own speculation?
-
4 RepliesIn one of the animated cut scenes, there was clearly at least 4 “Travelers” shown at once.
-
Guardian ForeverDestiny>Marathon - old
If the Traveler leaves or dies, we wouldn't have a lore reason to still have our light subclasses, and I doubt Bungie is remaking them just to vault them in a year If they are going for a bad ending, then they have wrote themselves into a corner -
Edited by Lore Oradon: 3/9/2022 6:57:58 PM3 could be Pass Tense. It's 1&3.

The fourth one is absolutely true, considering it’s been signposted multiple times in relation to both the Cabal and Eliksni. Hell, the House of Rain even had the whole Kell of Kells prophecy which seems to imply that this mythical figure would be the first Eliksni Guardian. Which is precisely why I think Mithrax was introduced despite Variks being the much more interesting character for the role. It’s because everything that makes Variks a good leader comes from his understanding of history, Eliksni and Fallen. If he were to die and be revived, well, all of that is gone. Mithrax on the other hand…. Not only are there emotional stakes with his daughter to explore if he were to lose his memories, but his leadership of House Light wouldn’t be ruined by this development. Only bolstered.
-
If we chase the traveler, we’d be just like the fallen. That being said, I personally think that the traveler is going down rather than leaving due to the next expansion being “lightfall”
-
Gotta be honest, I freak out pretty hard when I play that game with Savathûn.
-
I don’t think the traveler will get a chance to run away again, pretty sure Lightfall will end with the traveler going down….
