Banned for using Cheat Engine (I know I'm a scumbag im sorry but I want your opinion)

Last year of April, I got banned late at night and decided to see if cheat engine would work on Destiny 2 by changing the values of my legendary shards. I would get banned a few minutes after going to bed. I know the consequences of my actions and feel I deserve what I did and I'd deleted the software the moment I got banned and haven't had a single thought on reinstalling it. After a year I made a new account (about a week ago after posting this) and bought the legacy pack for Destiny 2 and I've been playing it, but doesn't feel the same, I've genuinely turned over a new leaf and was hoping I could get some opinions on what I should do, no matter how harsh they are, and on what I should do, either abandoning the account and keep playing on my new one, or wait a few more years and reflect, hoping that Bungie will show some pity.

Problem is If they lifted the ban (not even sure if they can) it would open the floodgates to others who may not have yet turned over a new leaf. We all make mistakes, and we all have to live with the consequences of those mistakes. Cheating in online multiplayer games is never ok, personally I dont see the point in paying money for a game only to cheat it and miss the true gameplay experience but thats just my opinion. Hopefully If you really like the game you can push on with the fresh start, If not theres a plethora of other games out there, we really are spoiled for choice these days.

  • Why should Bungie take pity on you. You cheated in a ONLINE game. It does not matter if you were trying to skip the item grind and not cheating in pvp but you did cheat. You modified the game code in your favour giving you a advantage over those who grind the game for hours to obtain the resources they need. Also how long would it have been before you ask " what else can cheat engine help me with". You were tempted and fell. If Bungie let you back in how long until that temptation causes you to think that you can cheat again... maybe next time because you want that flawless Trials run. No use this as a lesson learned the hard way.

  • You got caught trying to cheat. You gotta deal with the consequences. Don't be surprised if Bungie bans your next account as that is ban evasion.

  • If it was up to me you would also have a hardware ban. If you have to cheat in any game then you clearly are not capable of being a gamer. Justified ban.

  • Nope nope nope. You purposely broke the rules & tried to get an unfair advantage. Bungie has repeatedly warned us about this.
