Cant authenticate my cross save?? Authentication Error

I haven't played destiny in over a year and I wanted to play again. I logged into my main steam account that ive ALWAYS played destiny on. 200+ hours on this acc. I re download destiny and it says i have 0 characters. I log into my cross save and try to authenticate, and it gives this error: "The account you attempted to verify is not linked to your currently logged in account. Please try again with your linked account for this platform." No error code or anything. I have literally bought forsaken and the digital deluxe package on that steam account so theres no way its the wrong account. I started playing on xbox one so my characters are saved there, I just want to play on pc like I have been when D2 came out. The youtube video shows the proof send help please. Also note: My changeable steam alias (not the account name) for that acc was something else for a whole year, but i changed it back to happydoggy. Any ideas?

The issue is that when you set up Cross-Save, it seems you may have accidentally used an unfinished Steam ID, or a different one that you most likely forgot you had and attempted to set up Cross-Save using an email instead of a username. Doing so linked that old Steam ID instead of the one you currently use. That's why it's giving you that error, because the Steam ID you're trying to log into is different from the one you actually set it up with. Please go to Steam's website and log out; go to the log in page and use the Forgot Password link. Follow the steps through entering the code from your email, and then Steam's website should show you every username associated with that email. Since you accidentally logged into it when setting up Cross-Save, the password would be the one you normally use for your Steam ID login. - As far as your video goes, it should be correct that you have no characters on your Steam save data, as you've been using your Xbox save data. Cross-Save loads one platform's save data when you log in on other connected platforms. It does not move or transfer that save data. If you set up Cross-Save before logging into the Steam ID, then you wouldn't have any characters on that Steam ID.

    • Hey, Can you try unlinking the steam account in your settings there linking it up again, then try to cross save once more. You can find where to unlink a accounts in "Settings" > "Account Linking". [i]Please note: In order to unlink the Steam account you will need to sign into Bungie.net using your Xbox credentials. ALSO: As seen in this screenshot, my last game was played on the steam account "xlittlepupperx" according to the bunjie account's history
