30th anniversary update lag
Idk about if other console players have this problem but after the content drop all my menus got 100% slower. My director, my character screen, EVERVERSE. like i can't swap an exotic or change a mod without the game taking the whole match to load now. Is there a way to fix this?

24 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 12/26/2021 3:49:17 PMNo It’s happening (to me) & reading the multiple posts/threads on here/Twitter/Reddit from many players (except Stadia because there’s only 7 of them 😆) Regardless of platform/generation/HDD/SSD etc The 30th DLC, ‘abilities’ update & the hotfix have wrecked the loading/inventory times & caused lag & crashes in things like Gambit/Dares/PvP etc some folks have had to do full installs & database rebuilds due to the updates bricking their consoles etc Bottom line: Bungie didn’t test the stability & didn’t care to stay around for the fall out (they’re on Christmas holiday) There’s no fix

1 ReplySame with pc, 30 ~ 40 fps while you in vault, can't infuse in vault anymore, too laggy can't inspect gun or perks.

I'm on Xbox One X with Destiny on an external USB 3 SSD drive and after the 30th anniversary dropped, the game lags really bad in menus, screens, loading the game and sporadically while playing activities. I'm also getting hard crashes or disconnects from the game, especially in DOE, that never happened before.

Um I’m on old gen console. My game works fine. Mabye I’m just lucky, but I haven’t had any of the crashes that other people are talking about during dares or gambit or whatever. My menue isn’t especially laggy or anything, just regular Xbox one speed, which granted isn’t fast, but it hasn’t gotten any slower.

Bump. I’ve have noticed minor delays when looking at items in the vault. Other than that, the only problem I’ve had is a few crashes trying to MM into Dares while inspecting friends/teammates. PS5.

I’m on the series X with average internet and I have 0 issues with menus. Mine load as fast as they have done all year

Not sure but i feel that load times have been worse with the dawning update now active instead of 30th anniversary but I can’t say for sure It takes really long for anything to load and the game occasionally chugs

Been having the problem since the 30th Anniversary Update. I know a PS4 is an old machine now, but I never had this problem before the update.

I'm on the xbox series x and I don't have any issues. I don't know if it's an old hardware issue or not but it might be.
