Destiny 2 beyond light not working even though I have the pre-order pack

I understand that the beyond light was taken off of game pass but I didn't care because I knew I had it through pre-ordering it. So I am confused as to why I no longer have access to beyond light even though I have the pre-order pack, which I know wasn't on game pass

  • In not sure it’s the exact fix but I was having the same problem. When I went to Microsoft store it showed the main destiny 2 game want “owned.” It showed as game pass but not owned. Since it’s free all I had to do was choose “but to own.” I was trying multiple things all at the same time so I’m not sure that was the exact thing that fixed but it did work after this.

    • BL and SK aren't working for me and I purchased both well after they had been released. Today, I go to switch to my Stasis class and it's telling me to re purchase both. I still have the receipts from purchasing them but the marketplaces is still telling me to repurchase. I don't get it... I may lose interest due to this...

      • This is happening to me and my friend too, I just restarted, cleared cache, checked my emails and yes I own it but according to the store I need to buy it! A fix would be great because I would like to use stasis lol

          • I am having the same issue pre-ordered the dlc have all other dlc's and have the pre-order bonuses still. Tried reinstalling beyond light and it's telling me I need to buy it again really come on.

            • First, log in to your Microsoft account and verify you purchase of Beyond Light. It should show a status of Completed. If the status is something other than Completed then your purchase never went through. Microsoft recalled many pre-orders, but didn't recall pre-order bonuses. So having the pre-order bonuses does not necessarily mean your purchase completed. If your purchase history shows Beyond Light with a status of Completed then open the XBox Marketplace and search for Destiny 2. Find the base game and if it gives you the option to purchase it for $0, then please do so. Once the base game is purchased see if BL starts working.

              • I am also having the same problem I pre-ordered the basic addition of beyond light and it just randomly disappeared and it's telling me I need to re buy it to download it again.

                  • I am having the very same issue. I ordered the Deluxe Edition and Shadowkeep and Forsaken installed fine, but Beyond Light keeps telling me that the app is not installed. I checked the purchase and it is done as "complete" so this shouldn't be the problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the base game as suggested above but still nothing.

                  • This also applies to me. My boyfriend got me the deluxe edition before beyond light even dropped, but now I can't use stasis and it's pushing for me to repurchase the deluxe edition.

                    I have the same problem. I bought Beyond Light on Launch (didn't pre-order). Installed and played for a while before they added to Game Pass. Once they added to Game Pass, for whatever reason, whenever my game pass payment lapsed, they wouldn't give me access to my game. I've verified purchases and licenses, everything is there. For whatever reason though, it's still telling me that I have to purchase Beyond Light to gain access to all of my Stasis abilities and storyline, essentially locking me out of my game after removing it from Game Pass even though I own the game. It doesn't make any sense at all and I'm very frustrated.

                    • This also applies to me. Since the 30th Anniversary Update it keeps telling me I don’t own Beyond Light and need to repurchase it, despite it showing as installed on my Xbox Series X. I contacted Xbox Support and they said it’s a Bungie issue?

                          have you restored your licenses? have you verified with the xbox store that it is owned? xbox controls the licensing so you would 1st need to go to them to figure this out.
