I am with with you on this one. The quest really sucks. After hours of attempting this solo (and running into this bug multiple times) I've figured I'm doing something wrong so I've decided to google the issue. The only way to do it (unless you are crazy good/maxed out on everything, etc.) is with a fireteam. But to go though all that, find a fireteam only that the end get an old and not so good exotic sucks balls. The quest is confusing as it shows this as a solo quest and most of the time you are going to be over the 'recommended level'. Very misleading. I'll abandon this quest but my 'completionist' spirit is hurt. Honestly it kinda make me wanna quit the game all together. I was mostly playing for the story - which is also very confusing - no start and end. Cheers.

Good luck with this. The Malfeasance quest is horrible even when it's working properly. The corrupted strike is just broken right now, unfortunately that also means the quest version is broken.
