"Decrypting the darkness" quest missing
I'm playing on my warlock, which was made around a week ago, and it appears that I cannot complete the season of the lost, splicer, or chosen weekly quests because I'm stuck at the step that tells me to go to the umbral decoder and pick up the "decrypting darkness" quest. However, when I go to the umbral decoder, nothing is there. As a result, I also can't focus or obtain umbral engrams. I'm confused as to why this was happening because as far as I can remember, this hasn't happened on my titan or my hunter, and I'm pretty sure I was able to focus umbral engrams last season on my warlock. I checked the abandoned quests kiosk but it's not there.

Anybody know if they're gonna hot fix it. ive gone through everything and the step never showed up for the new seasonal stuff. im up to date with the quest and still cant decrypt.

10 RepliesThe Umbral Decoder is part of the current season and thus the Decrypting the Darkness step is now attached to the Season 15 quest called Wayfinder's Voyage. You need to progress that quest to get to the point of being able to pick up and complete Decrypting the Darkness. Once done on that quest it will auto-complete for the Season of the Chosen and Season of the Splicer quests.

Having the same issue I did voyage but it skipped a few steps and never got the decrypt the darkness.

1 ReplyGot the exact same problem with my Hunter and Warlock. Can't complete the quest on any of both, even though I've completed them already with my Titan in the past.
