Deadeye Seal: Sub Machinist Medal not unlocking
Hey,
Thought I would give this issue a bump as it now prevents the Deadeye Seal unlocking and gilding. The Sub Machinist Crucible medal fails to unlock after killing two guardians in the same life in the crucible. This is required to unlock the Submachine Gun Mastery triumph.
I've tried multiple playlists, SMGs, reloading and not reloading etc.

I have been having this issue since season of the lost... I have over 200+ kills on SMGs and have killed 2-3 even up to 5 on multiple occasions. Here is the latest vid of me trying again and not getting the medal in normal 6v6 control even though I have been given credit in the game log for SMG kills with Title. I've used Funnelweb, Title, Borrowed Time, Multi-mach, and Enyo-D and still not received the medal. I guess I'll start on the bow kills. Video: https://youtu.be/eJ_7h3SgxXc

It's still bugged as of April 22nd 2022. I got it after a million attempts. I was playing control using funnelweb and DMT. I swapped weapons multiple times, reloaded a few times and was able to get the medal after getting 2 kills. I also immediately was killed after getting the medal as well. Now, I have gotten 2 kills many times before, sometimes even 3 and never got the medal, all in one life. I wish anyone the best of luck trying to get this completely random medal. Also, on a side note: when I got the medal, I went to the triumphs section and had to go to medals, deadeye, and the active triumphs to get the notifications to go away. Normally when I got a medal for deadeye I just had to go to one of those sections. So that part of sub machinest is bugged as well.

1 Replyi dont know if its a coincidence or not, but i got it on the first try after i also had enough kills for the triumph. maybe you arent "eligible" for the medal until you have 100 smg kills.

This took forever. Just unlocked in elimination, using huckleberry. Kills were neither rapid, nor on the same clip. It’s completely random. It’s almost like the chance of having the Vex drop in the Vault of Glass.

Try Elimination. I tried most SMG's, and every game mode. I even tried sunset SMG's. Iron banner won't work because its a different set of medals, and it does appear to be rapid kills. I've gotten 4 now in Elimination, all have been rapid kills, and did not have to be the same clip, but rapid kills tend to be that way anyway. I originally got it with Huckleberry, but since have gotten it with other SMG's, including a Uncommon grade weapon. Hope this helps anyone and everyone trying to get this.

I was having the same problem using many different SMGs and it just randomly unlocked for me with 2 rapid kills with tarrabah. very buggy for sure

1 ReplyI’m having the same issue. This is the only medal i need for the seal. Very frustrating. Hopefully Bungie addresses this soon:(
