Win trading is cheating, stop justifying it
Edit: Hackers are still a problem on this game dont get me wrong, Bungie should go deal with them first and actually add an anti cheat to the game. But the amount of people I see that win trade on this forum is ridiculous. It doesnt help that alot of people seem to rally behind them as well and justify the win trading. Win trading is not "harmless" and it does indeed hurt others that play the game legitimately. An adept weapon can easily steam roll people, just look at igneous adept with max range. Basically bypasses the range nerf given to 120s... And for those that arent convinced that its cheating, you are manipulating the matchmaking of the game to give yourself the edge. That falls in the realm of boosting which is cheating. Call of Duty deals with this stuff better than Destiny... Come on Bungie!

2 RepliesYes, it is cheating. A long time ago, I saw a post advertising a flawless carry and I joined because I’m bad at PvP, and it turned out to be a ghost lobby. I went through it. The next morning I felt sick about it, and I just deleted everything I got. I never used those weapons, and I have not done another ghost lobby since. I realize I’ll probably get hate for this, but I guess it’s fair considering I willingly went through with it at first

Which, by the way, doesn't guarantee you flawless because every team you meet may not want to trade. Both parties have to be onboard, unlike actual hackers. Only one team is winning that game. For someone who's never made an attempt to talk to win traders, you sure are quick to lump them in with ACTUAL cheaters.

I mean from the angle of adept weapons are better I mean sure yeah I can see that point I play on controller and I personally think igneous hammer feels awful and I would rather use my true prophecy the aim assist on messenger is 30 so beyond the perks the gun is pretty normal my point being yeah some perk combos are good but I don’t think someone should say oh I got folded because he had that trials gun if you lost 100 1v1s with a guy using igneous probably less then 10 of those kills are due to the gun being actually better then whatever your using

5 RepliesNever been flawless. Probably never will. And definitely don’t care enough to win trade , cheat, suck off streams or pay to get carried. That being said could care less if others do. At the end of the day it’s just a game. Stop crying and move on. What do you care if they win trade? You really think someone who win trades to get an adept weapon is going to be good now because of that? You really think you’re special because you went flawless how ever many times? Nope, no one cares.

People should not be able to do those things because it is not programmed into the game. Stop kidding yourself. There are tons of exploits done day to day and you don't complain. But regular people find a way not to be frustrated with the horrible matchmaking and it's cheating? Go away.

Win trading is only using the system as is. No player can manipulate what match making does or with whom.. There is more advantage using players and cheaters than there are win traders. Stop locking loot behind players.. Incorporate a player friendly match making system.. Have better anti cheat/mod systems.. Boom.. Less win trading instantly. “Cheating” is doing/using something against other players for an advantage outside the perimeters that are offered to everyone.

1 ReplyI was matched on our 1st match vs a team on their 6th match, look at my kd ain't the same or slightly close to my opponents at that time, stop justifying the awful trials matchmaking system. You think ppl trade wins just out of nowhere?? Many of them had faced similar situations and they're done with it, no fair matches?? Win trade. They outsmarted a system that makes trials fodder for those sweaty streams, the entertainment of the few.

I don’t do trials, but, I Don’t know if I’d say it’s cheating. If everyone is agreeing to it how is it cheating? I also don’t understand why this is such a big deal. Who is this hurting? As to “cheating”, there is actual Cheating in trials, it’s so blatant and ridiculous.

1 ReplyIf you get flagged boosting/win trading in cod then your account gets reset, after a certain amount of resets then you get perma banned. Idk why bungie doesnt punish those players.

They caught THOUSANDS of players doing it. More then 50% OF THE ENTIRE TRIALS POPULATION in just 2 days win traded to get adept weapons. You want to know what Bungie did to them? Nothing. They did ABSOLUTELY nothing to ALL these illegitimate trials plays. No ban. No weapon removal. Nothing. They get away with it with literally 0 repercussions. After something like this do you REALLY think bungie is ACTUALLY going to ban win traders? They had a MASSIVE opportunity to send a message to communities that support this type of behavior. A ban wave of more then 50% of trials players may not be popular to fans of the game and would COMPLETELY destroy the population of trials for maybe 3 weeks, but it would show their stance on this being wrong. But they stood back, let these people get away with it, and NEVER giving punishment to even a SINGLE win trader to this VERY DAY. Their stance is they don’t care. That is the message from this one move instead. Your voice won’t be heard by Bungie. They don’t care enough about win traders to give a ban. Your wasting your breath, your time, and your life trying to punish these people, because no one got punished in the two trials weeks where win trading was at its height.
