Overload champions need a nerf

I know you have mentioned that you're working on the excessive teleporting, which is great news. But the fact they only stayed disrupted for about 5 seconds, is insane. I've spent over an hour trying to solo a master lost sector and no matter the load out I tried using, I cant get passed the first overload champion. Having them stay disrupted for another 3 seconds is all thats needed and would make a massive difference. Please consider this

  • The only problem with overloads lies in the mods not the champions themselves. The way overload works on guns is inconsistent and needs to be unified.

    You, are the rest of the blueberries who make this post every 2 seconds, are just sorry at the game. There is literally NOTHING wrong with overloads and they are so easy to kill Use a bow, preferably Le Monarch if you have one since the poison stops the healing , teleporting and can stun them Arc grenades stun instantly DIVINITY!!!!!!! Once you stun them, FINISH OFF WITH A HEAVY!!!! You already have more than enough time to kill them once they are stunned. If you can’t kill them During that time, that’s a YOU problem, not the game. Level up

    • The inconsistency is idiotic. Been running the Legendary Velles Labyrinth all evening. Finally found a loadout combo that worked. But it only works about 20% of the time. The other 80%, the first two champions take turns being invincible. Running Striker arc titan. I'd hit him with a grenade, then an arc rocket, then a 2nd grenade or my super. 20% of the time this kills him. Dead. The other 80% he regains full shield and health between the rocket and the 2nd grenade or super. Often while I'm flying to him in super. He fully heals in less than 1 second. Completely unfazed. Even tried Truth since it has 3 rockets in the mag. Between 1st and 2nd rocket he's able to 100% heal and reshield. After a stun grenade. I'm over Champions. They're broken.

      • I am not going to argue with your weather I think that they do or they don't. I will suggest if you're having trouble with them use overload bows and use your Le Monarch. The damage over time will keep stunning them even if you aren't able to get another arrow on them. Amd any of the Fallen ones who use the Riskrunner it shreds everything and can stun overloads and melt them before they come out of stun?

        • Kill any adds around the champion first to ensure your safety, stun, then rush hard and kill with either Guillotine or Lament.

          • Champions have become very inconvenient & extremely inconsistent. Walking out of barriers, staying stunned for less than a second & flat out refusing to be stopped.. looking at you, Unstoppable Phalanx 🤬 Teleporting Captains are my personal trigger, but that's jus working as intended. The other "issues" are very off putting.

              I 100% agree. I've rage quit two nights in a row over the damn things. Some strats I've found that help (sometimes) are running overload bow. It's an insta stun unlike submachine gun that is laughably broken. Le monarqe exotic bow's poison actually seems to keep them from regenerating as fast. Pair that with a ++ void burn and it can help. Also, stasis can prevent regeneration. So hitting em with silence and squall, and then giving em everything u got can work. But it's to the point that I don't want to bother with master nightfalls unless it's bunker E15 on Europa. U can let the droid dudes do the heavy lifting and distract enemies. They seem to disappear after 15min tho

                I’ve been having good results by equipping a sword and using the mods sword ammo finder, disruptive blade, sword reserves, melee damage resistance, sword scavenger, passive guard and multiple copies of empowered finish. I also have the Major Spec mod equipped to my sword that deals extra damage against powerful enemies. Your sword will slice through overlord champions like butter.

                • Ticuus Divination tracking arrows with Overload Bow works like a charm. Overload SMG is about the worst anti-champion mod they’ve made. Too bad Leviathans Breath already has the Unstoppable mod on it, it would do some serious work with Overload Bow.

                • Fully agree, a good concept for a villian but mechanics poorly thought out. There must be a difference how they are deployed in lost sector as far harder to kill than say night fall or battle ground

                • Depends on the activity. They go down fairly easily in nightfalls or empire hunts. It's the lost sectors where I notice there is definitely some sort of bug where they heal even while stunned.

                    Man. You worried about a overload champion. Today I had a nightfall that after killing the unstoppable for the second arc orb, we had to kill 25 barrier champions. They just kept spawning. Man was it annoying.

                  • The time would be fine if some of them weren't literally broken to not even stay stunned at all. I've had multiple teleport less than a second after a stun.

                  • I said this and people did not like it😂 y’all really love overload captains teleporting every half of a second like a crack head. Sweaty d2 players literally want the game to waste our time so they feel like there’s more to do in the game but it’s all padding for a shallow experience. Overloads should not be the focus of everyone’s build that’s so dumb.

                  • I’m going to disagree on this one. In the absence of new types of enemies for 5 years we need something at least slightly challenging to fight. Otherwise the game becomes mind numbingly easy and repetitive.

                    • Champions in general are a bad mechanic with their Specific Mods imho, but yes, Overload Champions are the worst indeed. Their continuos teleporting here and there so fast is terrible and when you finally stun them the time window you have to kill them is really short. A little nerf would really be apprecciated.

                        • Try swords that match the burn, they're probably the best for boss melting. But yeah Overloads are pretty busted. Even with a god roll Falling Guillotine, with +50% void damage it takes 6 light attacks and a heavy to kill one within the stun window, and even that is cutting it close. And after they break out of stun they're immune to disruption? And they heal WHILE they're immune?!?!
