Scannables not scanning (Presage Mission)
Hello I went through the presage mission this week with my fireteam and after a completion I went through again and was able to get the chest for the week, However none of the scannables were able to be scanned by my ghost. Though when I pulled out my ghost it did show that they were scannable.
(EDIT) Nothing is scannable checked all 3 sets
(EDIT 2) Was missing a scannable for the week it showed up in the triumphs for the mission said I had 1/6 hope this helps everyone else with the same problem

alright, im running outta time to get this done. i have week 3 captains logs and associated triumph, running through the mission i am unable to scan week 3 scannables even though i should be able to. any suggestions? solutions? way to contact someone to fix this? i am at a loss and its down to the wire.

Last week i scanned the week 1 scannables and this week i cant scan anything. Now that this week i cant scan anything i dont have time to complete the triumph beacuse the season ends. This really needs to be fixed asap.

Edited by Zeus: 4/23/2021 7:27:28 AM3 weeks out from end of season and still haven't gotten it to work, and if it doesn't get fixed this week I wont be able to get the Seal. Here is what I have done to try and get it to work - 1. Ran through the Presage Mission completely on both Normal and Master 2. Tried on both my Titan and Warlock 3. Went to all 15 scannable's multiple times to try and scan, and nothing comes up 4. Restarted the game 5. Uninstalled and Re-Installed 6. Completed all other Triumphs for Season of the Chosen (that's not a requirement I just ran out of options) 7. Collected the Exotic Scout Rifle and waited until the timer runs out 8. Raged at my friends for not having any answers, followed by a quick 15 minute cry session After all of that I still have not been able to figure out why I seem to be the only one out of my group of dudes that I play with to not get the Seal, which is really upsetting because its actually the first seal I have gone for and I was so stoked to get my first one ever, looks like that's not happening. Someone please help

Having this issue right now. Was able to scan week 1 with the hanging cabal, can't scan anything else no matter what I do. Bungie needs to just release the scannables altogether so we don't have this dumb glitch anymore. It was a neat idea for story and plot...but it's not running well and I can't seem to scan more than 1 object a week if I'm lucky.

Is anyone still experiencing this? I believe I am. Either that or it is entirely unclear what is scannable at the current point in time and what is not. Why should I have to look at astrological charts and breakdowns to understand when I can hit a button on my controller to scan something that is glowing with your ghost out?

1 ReplyI don’t even have the triumph for the third week’s scannable available to view, there’s only 10 in the Exotic Quest section. Not sure what’s happened, I’ve done the mission more than enough times and got all the scannables including this weeks (had to get someone else to scan them for me) but I don’t have the triumph for it.

Depends which set of scannables your character is eligible for this week. Or can't you scan absolutely anything? This weeks scannables should be the dead ghost, the Scorn on the table, the chalice in the final room, the thing in the hangar and the turret if I remember correctly.

Having the same issue, and I've tried various combinations of fireteams to see if I could fix my issues ... nothing seems to be working. Someone else I know with the issue fixed their problem by completing their first run of current week content with someone else who successfully had picked up all of the scannables and also was completing their first run of current week. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/258470271

1 ReplyPiggybacking this. I'm having similar issues. I ran the presage mission the first week and second week and got all the scans. On my second run of Presage this week I'm unable to get the scans. I switched to my Hunter and completed it and ran it a second time and still was unable to scan. Also, I was able to get the secret chest on my third run but the triumph did not complete. Hope this helps. Would really like to complete this. Love the mission.

Same problem here. My guess, don't grab the chest for the week until you grab all the scannables. I'm assuming this is going to set me back a week.

The same is happening for me. How am I supposed to move on to the next set or scannables if the first set isn’t letting me scan them? For example, the dead cabal, can’t scan it, even after beating the mission once. I could care less about the triumph. I just want to get the weekly challenge completed. I mean, do you have to complete it on master difficulty?

The scannable objects are grouped together in sets that are on a weekly lockout, of sorts. If, for example, you don't scan all of the objects available in the first week, then in the second week you won't be able to get the new ones. If you find the ones you were missing from week one during week two, then week two's scannables will all be available to you in week three, but none from week three will work until week four.

So far as I can tell the scannables are sets that have to be done in order, if you don't scan the full set for the Captain's Log Triumph then you have to find it before you can finish. Much like the data pads that open the doors to the cache's, you can only do 1 a week, in sequence. If you don't do it then you won't progress, you can't skip any. There are video's on youtube, as always, that will show you where the different set's of scannables will be, check them out and see what your missing.
