"Light fading" timer with no-one downed during DSC Boss Encounter (Taniks Phase 2)? (Wiped due to "Shared Fate")

This is a hard one to explain but luckily [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GM9t4bTQT8]one of our fireteam managed to record it[/url]. We were proceeding with the Taniks boss fight like normal, were midway through the first damage phase and suddenly wiped. Upon reviewing the recording: - The cause of death for all of us was "Shared Fate", which normally occurs if you don't revive a downed teammate. However, [b]no-one was downed[/b]. You can see all six of us on the radar in the top-left alive and well right up until the moment that we wiped from the "Shared Fate". - We didn't notice during the encounter but, in the bottom-right, the "Light fading in x:xx" timer was present, warning us that we needed to "REVIVE PLAYER". We were just doing a normal boss run and laughed at the randomness of the sudden wipe, but I understand that things would be [i]very[/i] different if this were to happen to a fireteam at the end of a Flawless run and I didn't see it on the List of Known Issues, so I thought that it should be shared.

  • Don’t know if it adds anything, but I’ve experienced the same thing in a run earlier today (I farm boss CPs quite frequently when bored). Someone died from radiation and when they got resurrected the wipe timer never disappeared and when the countdown reached 0 we all died just like you describe. Has not happened more than that one time. We’ve also had 2-3 occasions where Taniks would wipe the entire fireteam mid damage phase while we were 100% sure all nukes were deposited and those are the only way to get your whole team insta killed AFAIK.

  • I've asked on Reddit and some people were suggesting that it can be triggered by: - A death between the previous encounter and this one (e.g. dying when the ship crashes into Europa) - A teammate dying and leaving the encounter before being revived. However, for us, one of our teammates already had the boss checkpoint so we came directly from orbit, not from the previous encounter. We then had a couple of "practice runs" (failed attempts) before the run in the video, and no-one left the encounter during either of those, so I don't think that either of those factors caused the bug in this instance.
