SMG Recoil Console vs. PC - HUGE DISCREPANCY
I’m sick of watching PC streamers using SMG’s with literally no recoil. I know console users have aim assist but that does not nearly outweigh the horrible recoil console users have to deal with. Bungie, I hope you consider adjusting the recoil on console!!

2 RepliesYou just have to get the right rolls on console. Mainly it's just a stability problem. Get perks that fix that and maybe throw a counterbalance mod on there for good measure and voila you got yourself one dirty weapon.

1 ReplyYou've let yourself in for a right kicking here from the pc master race I'm afraid. I will add though I'd swap aim assist for less recoil all day long on console. It actually hinders you more than help, I'm sick of my gun getting dragged off of a target I've lined up a headshot for by an enemy doing a fly by save the president move. We should at least have the option to switch to which we prefer, if that was possible.

All guns, from D1 to D2, generally have higher recoil, it's annoying af.

I know, ill reduce the FOV to console levels and lower the FPS to 30 to make the game more difficult. Said no PC player ever.

I love how the majority of the replies don’t address your recoil comment and just go straight to the PC Master Race vs. Console Peasant garbage. I’ve played on Xbox since D1 and my brother plays on PC. Saw him over the holiday and played a little on his PC rig and it felt weird. PC has little to no recoil on any primary weapons. Everything is a laser beam.

Has nothing to do with PC or console. Play on Pc with a controller and it's the same albeit easier to manage with the higher frame but otherwise the same, it's the way bungies recoil interacts with joysticks

I don't understand why recoil isn't a thing on PC. Isn't the argument something along the lines of it'd be a -blam!- to control with a mouse? Or like mousepad space or something? Most other games that are on consoles and PC have pretty much the same recoil patterns I don't get it.

Well, you are witnessing the brilliance of Destiny 2 design team who solved the problem of boredoom for the PC players who would have to pull mouse down all the time to compensate recoil. Not fun, right? At least that was the official explanation.

1 ReplyIts because the FOV on console is 72, while the FOV on PC is capped at 105. 72 FOV feels like you're looking through a telescope. Get a PC and set your FOV to 72 and you'll experience the exact same problem, regardless of whether or not you're using mouse&keyboard at 165fps.

Or here me out, buy a adapter and use a M&K on your console. I dont understand why they haven't given us this option on consoles yet anyway. I know some ganes do, but not all of them.

5 RepliesBtw I used an smg today shot it at a wall... there absolutely is recoil on mouse and keyboard.... the one from the hunts had really odd patterns sometimes it would go left sometimes right...

Similar thing for 900rpm MGs. I remember the solo tutorials of Prophecy with guys using Delirium like it was a laser beam.

2 RepliesIt's not only SMGs it is the way the character reacts, the movement speed etc... Even when you play with a controller on PC it is an entirely different game. Not sure why they made it so slow on console... maybe a FPS thing?

The way the streamer slides his mouse as he shoots the smg is full of the exaggerated swagger of a PC player. Bro chill it doesn’t matter, its nit like there is crossplay.

That's why all 900 smg get deleted, recluse was the only bearable one because of it's strength in pve with the main perk. All 600 and 750 need high stability perks or forget it
