I don’t understand why weapons from shadowkeep are getting sunset. I just got arc logic and a good tranquility and love and death with full court. I genuinely want to know why these are getting sunset. Sucks that i cant use these after this season.

Because it's been a year, and everything a year or older is being sunset?
-
Cause we are on the moon, it is made of cheese...
-
Because Bungie already pi$$ed away all the money they made from renting content to you. Please spend more.
-
People spent 35 dollars for a 20 dollar expansion. I would of had shadowkeep wepaons cap out of 1360 to incentived buying shadowkeep.
-
I don’t......think they are. Bungo let off a list of weapons that are being sat on by the sun. Everything basically has like a year of use. Same as any weapon in a online mmo
-
Hey all, I wanted to follow up with something that I feel. Shadowkeep was not a great dlc like forsaken was. Imo the one thing going for it were the weapons, not even the exotics. And the fact that they’re just taking them away from us feels sorta bad if you understand what I mean. Like a huge waste of time investment and even money.

So they can reintroduce them later, throw you on a hamster wheel and act like you should be grateful over how generous they are. Sunset my gear, sunset my business.
-
I’m sorry for everyone thats saying it’s been a year and whatnot. I just keep taking breaks from the game so as it stupid as it sounds, it doesn’t feel like a year at all for me lol. But thanks for all the replies. I thought that maybe sunsetting could work like every 2 years instead of every year because that just feels so quick for my godrolls to get sunset. Thanks a lot everyone

Edited by Lore Oradon: 8/25/2020 7:43:18 PMBecause it's been a Year. Every thing now has a Year Power Cap. You had 365 days to use them. 🤷
-
Because bungie said so
-
Because they've been around a whole year as of Beyond Light which is the lifespan of gear.
-
MountainTop and Anarchy are only gl's worth having since gl's got nerfed. Imo most those weapons sucked anyway and look like trash i was fine with shadowkeep dlc but armor and weapons could have looked and been better.

-
Because they are old and fall within the rules to be sunset
-
Edited by Raevenent: 8/25/2020 6:23:42 PMBecause they're a year old. The only exception to currently existing weapons outside of the umbral engrams are the garden of salvation and last wish armor and weapons. The other raids have their armor good for a year but weapons sunsetting
-
They are a year old....
-
1 ReplyThey should just do the taken king sunset and just sunset everything, idc at this point as long as im not punished for taking a break from the game.
-
The only thing that makes me upset, is that the only good kinetic slug (other than chaperone) is being sunset.
-
They will probably update half of them right away. Game is a joke now.
-
1 year. It's not complicated 🤷♂️
-
Gear will be sunset a year after it comes out when beyond light comes out it will have been a year since shadow keep
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 8/25/2020 4:16:29 PMYou had a whole year to use them. That's what Bungie is going for with their sunset mechanic. It had to start somewhere.
-
Don't worry next season they will offer same weapons with new icon in the corner
-
Agreed. Too short a time.
-
2 RepliesBecause they last exactly a year. Next season will cap everything from season of dawn and so on. That’s how sunsetting works.
