You guys, this is a LOOT based game. I've been here since day one. My bank runeth over. I could literally delete almost everything from my bank if you would just solve this problem.
You know what rolls I've discovered. Please fix.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 7/30/2020 12:44:37 AMHow about this solution: ALL perks are available on a weapon once it’s found (much like when you can see every switchable perk roll on Destiny Tracker - changing Perks allows a visual & numerical view of the stats, mods & masterwork) - those who use Destiny Tracker know what I mean by this) And once you’ve acquired that weapon - it goes into your ‘collection’ But (like with D1 system) ALL perks have to be completed in the tree order ... (and perks can be switched - say from Overflow/Rampage to Zen/KillClip, once completed) then the gun can be masterworked (with a switchable masterwork) ..... Once a weapon is fully unlocked (perks) & masterworked ...it can then be infused with light (via prisms/Ascendent shard to the max power cap available...currently 1360) & placed in the vault (an incomplete weapon returns to the collection with the progress saved) This system allows collections of weapons, ranking up with Banshee-44 for Armsday Filling in each weapon in a category (auto rifles, handcannons etc) ...allows a ranking system which allows access to special curated builds & experimental weapons from Banshee-44 Also allows for a grind to complete a full handcannon perk fill on every handcannon etc Gives credit to a seal ...let’s call it Gunsmith Ranking And the ENTIRE collection (if you’re crazy) - Armourer It also allows Bungie to buff/nerf perks & it affects everyone en-masse (with EVERY collection affected/improved) (I wrote something similar a few months back - can’t find the post - because Bungie don’t allow search)

10 RepliesI dont understand why this is still considered a looter shooter by the community. You get the same gear repeatedly, and most people already got the god roll or their prefered role. On top of that do you really need any gear thats not LL 1360.
-
If you have a full bank then clear it out. Sunsetting means all that stuff will be no good for top level content anyway
-
Their current goal is to make what we have obsolete so we have to grind for it all over again. I have little faith they'd even consider your suggestion. Personally, I think weapons 2.0 would be cool.
-
Instead, just let everything pulled out at a static, sub 50 stat roll. I want something like this, since I doubt we'll be able to use transmog from collections. And I really want my 2k19 Solstice Gear back.
-
Weapons 2.0 Bungie. Do something good for a change.
-
8 RepliesUnlimited vault space requires money Would you pay $10 per month for this?
-
Bungie doesn't care.
-
6 RepliesThat confuses me too. There are no random rolls with armour 2.0. So like you said why can’t I re-acquire what I already got??
-
2 RepliesFix what??? nothing about it is broke they purposely do that....
-
Literally every other fame solves vault space with money subs or money for slots Unless you are willing to pay and even if bungue implement such system you will never have unlimited vault space
-
3 Repliesyes, let's store every roll schematic you've discovered in every weapon. What a great use of space, I'm sure that will make loading times better.

7 RepliesEdited by Josev_Spaceface: 7/29/2020 10:18:06 PMTotally agree, this should be a reasonably implementable solution. I think instead of storing individual rolls in your collection though, it could just have unlocks for any perks you've rolled with that weapon. Basically, to pull a weapon from collections, you could just assign the roll you want based on what you've unlocked. This keeps the grind real, while still adding an RNG element to the chase. Added bonus, no more need to horde sub-optimal "demigod" rolls in your vault. Just save the space there for your masterworked stuff that you know you love. Imagine how much better the collective experience would be with this game with a tool like this available. Edit: I think this idea works for weapons, but maybe requires a different approach for armor. A scaling system for stats during reacquisition would probably be the solution since armor doesn't come with baked-in stuff besides stats.
-
1 ReplyWell for one, all armor should be reobtainable from collections with a curated 48 stat roll. Y1 and Y2 armor can be pulled and yet it drops all the time with random stats. Y3 armor should be the same. And we should also be able to "Upload" or "Archive" random rolls so we can pull them later and not have to hold onto them. The vault shouldn't be somewhere we store stuff because we don't want to delete it, it should be used for stuff that we use regularly and play with. The collections tab should be used to store things. And another thing is, it wouldn't be hard for Bungie to implement it because weapon rolls are already stored on the servers. When you get a weapon you are actually getting access to that weapon. That specific roll you get is already stored on the server whether you got it or not. So it's not like player's inventories affect server space too badly.

3 RepliesEdited by Scott McScotty: 7/29/2020 9:06:38 PMYea, and fix the RNG, no last pinnacle drop in heavy this week to hit hard cap of 1060 so no point in playing until next reset. FIX YOUR RNG....IT SUCKS. Could this be a re run of the time I waited weeks and weeks and weeks for my last drop?
-
2 RepliesStill waiting to be able to get redrix from collections lol
-
I cant imagine how much valuable resources are hogged for a collections section that's 85% obsolete.
-
Yeah, it should be the most recent roll you've acquired or whatever the curated roll was (if you've obtained the curated roll that is)
-
Ideally in an infinite memory word it would remember what weapons, armor, ect I have received and the rolls they had and then save them in a massive catalog. Sadly we and especially Destiny lives in a VERY finite memory world. But each item should have a generic roll and once you item xxx, that item should be enabled in the master catalog and made available for you. Personally I loved the kiosks we had in D1 and would love to see these catalogs in similar kiosks. Thus, like you, I could wipe the majority of my vault and be an almost happy camper. In the end there's still a massive issue with the space availability in the Post Office. THAT is fixable and should have before D2 started the beta testing we had fun with! Fix both of those and the Tower would not be as grumpy a place. Well till you unlock your 5th straig ht pinnacle for the week as the same boots as the previous 4. Then snowballs help!
-
1 ReplyAt the very least, we should be able to reobtain the curated rolls, but yeah, I'd prefer being able to reobtain the random rolls we've gotten before.
-
not enough storage space mayne maybe after they delete some planets
-
10 RepliesAre you asking them to record your specific rolls and make them available, or just make a generic roll for every gun and get rid of the whole “can’t reacquire randomized gear” nonsense. Because if it’s the latter, I totally agree. There should be a standard reacquirable roll for every gun in the game, there’s absolutely no reason not to. If it’s the former, I’m sorry but they can’t do that for you and everyone else, that’s asking a lot.

i support this message.

We were able to do it in d1 with certain gear from a book I think. Why not be able to do it here too?
