I've gotten to 1046 without caring too much, but what do these icons indicate? There are 3 to 5 in question:
1) The golden asterisk/circle
2) (a) The person silhouette (b) (which might phase to a 2 or a 3 sometimes)
3) (a) The pyramid / (b) Shadowkeep indicator on some planets
I've figured out that the green quest tracker shows up sometimes if a tracked item pertains to a certain planet, but I can't find a single reference to what these Director map icons mean. Light.gg and lowlidev.com.au have great info on planet maps, but not the Director. Help? Thanks.

The golden circle is where there is powerful/pinnacles drops. The pyramid icon is the quests for this current season. The icon for the moon is Eris morn. And I forgot the other one

The golden asterisk/circle is where a weekly challenge is. When you click on the destination, the characters with those challenges will have a blue version of the symbol marking where they’d be. The person silhouette means that someone wants to talk to you. If it shifts to 2 or 3 sometimes, it means that 2 or 3 people want to talk to you. The pyramid is the symbol for this season. It means that there is a seasonal quest there. The shadowkeep symbol is the symbol for the latest expansion. It means that there is a shadowkeep quest there.

Hi there. 1. The gold circle indicates that you have a challenge that awards powerful or pinnacle gear available at that destination/activity. 2. The person silhouette shows that you have vendors to turn in materials to. 3. And the watermark denotes a mission pertaining to that respective season/DLC/event.
