Hi!
I recently bought a new controller from the Microsoft Design Lab, and instantly while spawning in any area, my character is automatically aiming down sights, and there is no way for me to "de-aim" while pressing Left Trigger. As if I am constantly pressing down Left Trigger.
I thought there might be a problem with my new controller, and tried other games (shooter and non-shooter), but my controller and games work as intended. So, I jumped back into destiny to investigate further. (Note: my other controllers do not have this issue)
From booting the game to loading into any area, my character will auto-aim forever as described. But, every other instances where Left Trigger can trigger an action will work as intended (boosting with sparrow, see ongoing quests in director, see armor and weapons light level in character menu, etc.)
To "temporarily fix" this,
Note: Character will auto-aim constantly, player won't be able to "de-aim" by pressing LT
1) Open menu
2) Go to game settings
3) Select button layout
4) Enable "Swap shoulder buttons"
5) Close menu
Note: Character can aim with RB, but LT will be unresponsive to throw grenades.
6) Open menu
7) Go to settings
8) Select button layout
9) Disable "Swap button shoulder"
10) Close menu
Note: Player can aim with LT and throw grenades with RB as intended, but if player press Game Settings button (spawn ghost), bug will reoccur.
I am pretty sure the problem comes from Destiny since I cannot reproduce this bug in any other games. I did an update on my controller, checked for system updates, hard reset my xbox, none of those worked. I would also like to repeat that none of my other controllers have this issue (I have the original xbox controller and an Xbox One S controller).
The controller I am using is in every aspect similar to the Xbox One S controler.
Please help?

Yea, I'm having the same problem and I don't think it's a controller issue as I don't have this problem with any other game I use the controller on. I literally expected to go into rocket league and figured it would constantly be in reverse but nope, no issues at all. Anyone have any fixes for this issue?

8 RepliesI would lean towards a controller issue if you do not have the same issue with your other ones.
