While running the new dungeon, motes would not spawn correctly. What i mean by that, is if we need dark motes only light will spawn and vise versa. This issue happens every time we need motes, it is most apparent during the last boss fight, to the point that we where between damage phases for almost an hour. I am not sure if this is a bug or a game mechanic. My fire team can't be the only one having this issue.

I have to watch the bottom sides of my screen, and listen for audio cue that i am in a light or dark area before killing knight. Very much likely that someone is out of sync.... (damage over time killed has messed up my team before) Of course, sometimes you are like wtf!!??? But upon review of footage of myself, the game didn't register the change of light or dark area

When you kills the knights. Motes are drop based on where the person who lands the final blow is standing. If you want dark motes, kill them from where the floor is dark and then in a light area for light motes. Best way to know if your in the right spot is look at the bottom of your screen you can see a cloud effect. If its dark you get dark motes, if its light you get light motes

1 ReplyI have run the prophecy dungeon three times now and have had this issue every time. My first two runs we were killing the Knights for motes for 20min in-between final boss phases. On this third time we were getting close to an hour just trying to get two Knights to drop black motes in a row. Every ten minutes or so the game would give us hope and drop three dark then nothing but light motes the next six to ten Knights and then the timer would run out on the motes. I literally had a Fireteam member go afk for long enough to feed and medicate his various snakes while we were killing Knights. What is going on, shouldn't it be a simple 50/50 chance for what type of motes drop?
