What is the Sword Logic?

DISCLAIMER Most of the Destiny lore I know. But not ALL of it. Hence, this question. ___________________________________________ What do I know about it? It's old, and oryx either wrote it, or found it. That's all I know. Pathetic. Right? Anyway... ___________________________________________ If anyone could elaborate on it, I would be highly thankful. EDIT: Thanks to everyone who responded! This has been the one piece of lore that I've missed about the krill until now.
Today's post word: Retribution
• As others have stated, Sword Logic boils down to: The strong survive. Race A is wiped out by race B because race B is stronger - Sword Logic in its purest form. AFAIK Hive Swords take this more literally acting as a conduit and effectively stealing the energy from those they kill, further empowering their owner. Also to note, this is why the Hive cast out Nokris as a heretic as Necromancy, the process of bringing a dead thing back to some kind of life (cough like us guardians cough) goes against all teachings of the Sword Logic. If you've been killed that should be it, so being resurrected is blasphemous.

        • As far as we can tell, the sword logic originates from the worm gods. Billions of years ago on the planet Fundament Oryx, Savathun, and Xivu Arath (I forget their names at the time, they were different initially,) discovered the worm gods deep in the oceans of the planet. The three siblings made a pact with the worms, granting them power depending on which worm they bonded with. This is the birth of the hive we know today. The worms demanded to be fed, the more the were fed, the stronger they made their hosts. This is the sword logic, by destroying one another and their enemies, the hive became stronger- the highest of their order becoming ascendent hive and creating ascendent planes. There was a catch however, the more the worms were fed, the more the hungered- creating the never ending cycle that continues to this day, a cycle that Savathun wishes to separate herself from I hope this helps a little bit, it’s about as crash course as i can make it

        • Simply put, its survival of the fittest. If you die then you didn’t deserve to live, and if you live it’s because you are strong and deserve to. Killing enemies makes you more powerful and disposes of the beings that are too weak and unworthy to live. I see in the comments some talk about the Ascendant Realm. Beings that are powerful enough in the Sword Logic become Ascendant and have access to the Ascendant Realm. But the Ascendant Realm was never the goal for the Hive, it was just one of the things that came with their power. The end goal for the Hive is to kill all other things and therefore be the only beings worthy of living and kill all things unworthy of living. If you go and read through all the Books of Sorrow you should get a good understanding of everything. Would you like a link to the lore?

          • Simple. The strongest survive by cutting the weak down to fuel their strength. With each kill, you grow stronger in the Sword Logic. The better the being you kill, the stronger you get in the Sword Logic.

          • The Sword Logic is like a hierarchy or the A<B but C>B thus C>A idea. The Sword Logic is when you defeat an enemy, you are then stronger than that enemy and anyone else bellow them. That’s why Nokris is hated by the Hive as how he is bringing back dead Hive but since they’re dead then they are unworthy of living.

          • Only the strong survive and only the weak are killed. The more you kill, the sharper you become. Eventually, you become so sharp that you that you slice through reality itself and reach the Ascendant Plane. That's the abridged version.

            • From what I understand, basically you become stronger by killing opponents, but if you are defeated you didn't deserve to live? Survival of the fittest kinda but this is an oversimplified explanation. There's some magic involved somehow.
