He hasn't used any familiar Light-based abilities that would suggest what kind of Lightbearer he is. My gut tells me that he's a Warlock. The thing is that though dresses like one, he doesn't speak like Warlock nor does he have the same interests, hobbies, or ideals as one. I'm vexed. I need insight. Always brush your teeth.

3 RepliesLike a lot have already said, he has no class. Lightbearers are capable of using every ability we see ( so technically a Titan can use a golden-gun or a hunter use a Nova-bomb), it is more that they specialise into a certain field to truely master a part of the light. There isn't really any reason to speculate what drifter would be, since he was alive far before the city age and has always be an outcast. He is a lightbearer. He uses every light (and dark) ability he can get his hands on.

I don't think he is one Drifter is old af Pretty sure he was around before classes were a thing
-
1 ReplyWhere’s the option for no class? He’s a Lightbearer. Not a Guardian. He uses the Light in whatever way he wants for himself. He’s all classes and none.
-
He said himself that he doesn’t have a class. For the most part, classes are a matter of chosen discipline, rather than intrinsic features. Guardians will definitely be drawn to one certain discipline of using the Light, but you technically don’t need to have a class. Because of all of that, Drifter is just a Risen, not a Guardian. He bares the Travelers light and a Ghost, but that’s where he stops.
-
2 RepliesNone of the above. Like most Risen, Iron Lords, and Warlords...he isn't a Warlock, Titan, or Hunter.
-
2 RepliesBased on his clothes and that in the lore he wore the obsidian mind helmet (warlock exotic from destiny 1) I would say hes a warlock
-
He’s always seemed like class ‘douche’ to me.
-
Snitch
-
He’s a titan in gambit matches against fallen he randomly opens with “the fallen made us famous at six fronts”. May have messed up the quote. And from lore it shows he uses solar energy

Edited by sati44: 5/27/2020 8:02:10 PMLooking at his personality? Bottom tree striker with pre nerf OEM. <3<3<3

Nothing. The classes are specializations of Light use that were created by the Vanguard to simplify and standardize things. But all Lightbearers have access to the same powers, though individuals naturally have an affinity for some and not for others. You can't really call the Drifter anything. He shows some abilities that we associate with Hunters, others with Warlocks. Plus he draws some power from The Darkness....which is why he's afraid that Shin Malphur will eventually come looking to put him down. Remember that The Drifter is a relic from the days BEFORE the Iron Lords....never mind The Vanguard.

He doesn't have a class, he's not a Guardian. Just a risen with a dream and hunger issues
-
1 ReplyHis personality from his lore makes him sound like a hunter (not wanting to go to the Last City and just wanting to do his thing aka free spirited like most Hunters in lore are) but I agree with the majority of these comments and say that he’s just a lightbearer and has no official class. I hope we have more story involving him soon.
-
I think he is a cross of the 3
-
In the deck of cards that was given to players who pre-ordered forsaken, it was stated that hes a gunslinger, which would mean hunter. But reading all these replies stating its been said in lore that he's just a light bearer, I'm uncertain now. Was that retconned?
-
He is 100% -blam!-.
-
officaily he dosn't conform to any class as before the city everyone was a "risen" not a gaurdian, and before there was gardians there was no classes
-
2 RepliesJust hoping we get to take him out soon.
-
Alright alright alright
-
The lore states that he doesn't adhere to any class. Thus his title of rogue light bearer.
-
He's obviously a Warlock. He even wears the class appropriate girly dress...
-
He was a Dragon Slayer in another life.
-
he dosen't have a class. He's grouped into one of the first class of guardians called lightbearers, it even says so under his name
-
It's Drifter now.
-
The Drifter has no class. He kneels before no Vanguard, owes allegiance to no Traveler. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does.

1 ReplyEdited by Grays_KS27: 5/25/2020 12:34:05 AMThe Drifter has no Class. This is already stated in lore. He is an outsider and chooses not to follow the Class system established by the Last City. Classes are just a system created by Lightbearers for organization, and the system was not invented until centuries after the first Lightbearers came to life.
