Menagerie is the best thing to be added to this game
Even tho iv played it 20,000 times I'm still not bored of it...
Edit: I think it would be a good place to put gear that you can no longer earn if they ever remove old raids and gamemodes it would be nice for the loot to show up in menagerie with random rolls... Not the trials of the nine stuff tho that should show up in reckoning...
Edit 2: I'm pretty good at getting posts to trend every 10th post gets 100+ upvotes shame it mean nothing because the devs will never see this lol but I'm glad this time it wasn't a salt post.

Menagerie proved that Bungie CAN make a game mode that actually feels rewarding AND lets us pursue specific goals. And that is what I've enjoyed most about it (even though I haven't touched it in months). It gave us something that Destiny has been sorely lacking: control. And Bungie hasn't done anything remotely similar since. It could have established a new pattern, set the new precedent for loot/rewards, but instead Bungie seems to have completely abandoned the concept.

Yeah it was only good when it actually helped people to fill up low level items to match their current gear power level lol The menagerie is pretty much irrelevant because Bungie never updated it for Shadowkeep.

Strongly disagree it was enjoyable the first 3 weeks then the repetition hits hard, people tend to say it's the best cause it was the first way we could farm for what we want but in my opinion EP was a much more enjoyable bit of content it was simply implemented poorly with how teams had to be created.

Definitely. It needs new content though. All they need to do is add in like 3-4 new weapons to the loot pool and add in 2-3 new rooms with new challenges. I'd like an auto rifle.

keep the OG menagerie gear but the as things start losing value due to the weapon retirement we can get new stuff each season for menagerie?? That is the BEST idea ive ever heard imagine someone wanting to get undying loot like the optative but due to missing he never got it or last hope etc plus it could spice up menagerie even more

A ‘rush’ mode like Menagerie with its own loot and bonuses/mods and a ‘strategic’ mode that’s a traditional raid with greater rewards. Yes, I’m talking wow’s controversial raid finder... but actually make the two different.

When I get back to playing this game, I'll have to try Menagerie out. I only played it a couple times and thought it was boring. I must be missing something. What was it about Menagerie that you liked?

2 RepliesI enjoy the Menagerie, but after a certain number of seasons, more weapons should be added to the loot pool. Otherwise, as fun as the content is, the incentive to engage with it just isn’t there. Items like The Old Fashioned & Dire Promise HC’s are back in the open-world loot pool, but if people could farm them in Menagerie, that’d be huge. As much sense as this makes and as little resources it would probably require to do this, Bungo will probably just let this activity slowly drift off and die. Hate to see it but it’s what we’ve come to expect from these devs now.

They want to give us more chances of Pinnacle weapons, so why not Menagerie? My thoughts; The Heroic Menagerie is sometimes easier than the standard one depending on what modifiers are involved but needs to be LFG'd to complete it, therefore is prime candidate for being a Pinnacle activity. Upping the light level of Heroic to somewhere around 940 to 1000 (to match Pit Of Heresy, Sundial, Legendary Bunkers etc) should do the trick to make it fit into that level of activity. Using a similar system to what the Sundial used where your weekly Pinnacle was chosen, you could use your Chalice to get the Pinnacle you want with no multi-drop bonus. Just one piece per week, the rest will be a standard Legendary light level for multiple completions. It'll be a godsend for anyone who needs that one peice of gear to be 1010 Light and can't grind infinitely for it. - They could even go crazy and add Champions if they feel like it. It's Hive and Vex and we have champions for those already. They probably won't, but here's hoping they make Menagerie relevant again in 2020.

1 ReplyI remember a moment when I was running the Menagerie and I felt overwhelmingly happy with how Destiny was finally finding its way and that good things were to come. If I'd have known then what I know now my happiness would have been a kind of depression only medication and therapy might treat.

Yep. Menagerie has literally the perfectly implemented gameplay that finally allows random matchmaking of 6 people without removing game mechanics. Raids should be remade following the direction.

15 RepliesIt wasn't even Bungie who made the menagerie. It was vicarious visions which was supplied by activision. That's why all of the content since shadowkeep has been so lackluster.
