Bungie should respond to this one?
-
I’ll masterwork it because I’ll be able to use it for 9-15 months until they make it unfusable, then I’ll use it for 6 more months after that because it’s barely going to effect my light level. So yea I’ll get like 2 years out of it......
-
2 Repliesthis is a lazy way of recycling current gear. They want to make certain weapons irrelevant going forward, so they can offer re-skins at a later date that are modernized.
-
1 ReplyTemporary content Temporary weapons We’re essentially renting the game at this point. But hey atleast we can use whatever emblems we want.
-
Looks at my Thorn ornament... My precious!!!
-
1 ReplyWhy would anyone pay for a carry if the weapon will be gone so soon?
-
Destiny is just being run into the ground at full speed at this point Seriously what are they thinking over there lol
-
I was just surprised we ll see more d2 for at least another year
-
Huh, it's almost like universal transmogrification would have been a good addition
-
5 RepliesWhy masterwork? 9-15 months is plenty of time to get use out of them. These question of why use x when something is going away is odd. Why play a game and farm it if the servers will eventually go down. Why do anything if you'll eventually die and your accomplishments arent go with you..... Ok that last one was straight silent edgy teenager in the corner. In the end its about getting enjoyment out of whatever in the now and not worrying about what'll eventually happen.

I need the orbs. It's all about orbs now.
-
cause bungie wants your money

1 ReplySo I have an idea. What if pinnacle weapons become a new sub class of weapons. People who have earned them can keep and upgrade them to the new seasons soft cap. But, for endgame content to keep progressing past the soft cap you have to use the new legendary weapons with each new season. Rotate the pinnacle quests between coming seasons (or bi-seasonally) to avoid FOMO. Remove least used legendary weapons as seasons continue. Also bring back pinnacle drops of +1 light back to weekly challenges and trials bounties to keep both PVE players and PVP players interested. Even if you can only use this to progress half way to the hard cap. Even if it's gritting your teeth and doing activities you may not enjoy your still moving forward.

4 RepliesBecause the same financially inept people who buy them now will most likely be the same financially inept people to buy them later too.
-

So why would anyone buy ornaments for guns if they’re just gonna be retired?
With Luke's new philosophy of applying expiration dates to legendary guns - one should never ever buy. Oops. Unintended consequence (first among many).
-
6 RepliesI love how he brings up fatebringer and how creating awesome weapons is the goal by then telling us we have maybe a year to use the gun. This was what 3 paragraphs below the we have to much fomo and wanna change that statement😂😂
-
6 RepliesWhy should I chase any gun if it's just going to be obsolete?
-
9 RepliesYou people seriously dont understand what bungie is going to do. Weapons will only be less effective in NEW content after season 19. Like raid /trials/the new difficulty nightfall and IB. Any other content they will be the same as now.
-
3 RepliesEdited by Yu7Zi: 2/29/2020 12:49:31 PMExotics won't be retired
-
Easy, so you can buy them again next time around, and bungie keeps having a revolving profit rather than a 1-time purchase. $$$
-
19 RepliesWhy would you spec out your car if you know it's going to break down and fail one day?
-
11 RepliesYou have up to 15 months to enjoy it. You and everyone else on this topic will be fine and move on.
-
Only an idiot buys Legendary Ornaments, and Masterworking weapons requires in-game materials.
-
Why buy ornaments at all?
-
4 RepliesJust saying. This man knows how to get a point across to Bungie. This isn't a "WAH DON'T DO THIS". It's just him pointing out that they will make less money if they do this. And let's be honest. Money is what influences most of the higher up decision making at Bungie.
-
Just like in real life, where people only buy stuff, that will last for as they live. LOL
