The scannable crypod in the caydes stash mission where ghost says ~”a guardian with exceptional light, tried to res him but he preferred to sleep, seen enough wars in his lifetime.”
The wording in that messes up the 1 ghost to 1 chosen concept.
If he was asleep, why would ghost need to resurrect? Therefore he must’ve been dead. Which in turn tells us that ghosts can have more than one chosen. Which leads to the lost ghosts resurrecting saint and Cayde and anyone else.
Some new lore is vague but hints that ghost can return to the traveler and be reassigned chosen.
The wording of a lot of lore has been wonky. “Oryx killed his sisters in their throne world, a true death. Ah snap sisters are back.” We killed oryx in true death fashion, “ah snap my man oryx is back”. Been telling y’all from the start he could come back.

Any ghost can revive any gaurdian as long as the other gaurdian's ghost is alive. By injecting light into the other ghost.

3 RepliesFalse, it's actually Mr. Potato Head

5 RepliesYou guys are all wrong it’s “DOOM GUY” inside

Be real people, let's be honest its Commander Shepherd in that Cryo Pod 😂

4 RepliesAnyone else extremely confused by whatever this thing is trying to say?
-
2 RepliesHonestly you have not read all the lore. So I guess why your making wrong assessments but I would say read up on it because the 2 statements ons 117 and oryx are so far from the lore
-
6 RepliesSimply an Easter egg. Don't read too much into "Master Chief was a Guardian" theories. On Titan there's a scannable that talks about trade with a company very far away, Hyperion, a nod to Borderlands.

1 ReplyDidn’t Shin Malphur have a ghost who was someone else’s previously?
-
1 ReplyHey, I'd look into more lore regarding the choosing of guardians and being able to be matched to just one. Shin Malphur connected with Jaren Ward's ghost upon his death making him a guardian. Ghosts are necessary always tied to just one guardian, and, per lore entries, can even abandon them.

3 RepliesRead both of the Ghost Stories: Confession of Hope entries. They have a very clear explanation on how a Ghost has one ideal match but can choose to revive another.

I remember a certain cabal strike at a certain point had a tower shaped like Master Chiefs helmet.

Destiny is basically in the halo universe since halo came first of course

It’s not that he was a Guardian, he’s in a pod on a Colony ship. It’s that he was a strong candidate for one. The part about ghost talking to him seems to be that almost psychic element of our connection with our ghosts. Before he’s ressed, it seems the Ghost can converse with a version of us that has our memories
-
Mate it's un cannon. For one guardians when resurrected have no memories of their past yet this one does? Nope. Not real.

Halo 1, best game ever. Master chief most epic ever.

KSeth got it right. Though I prefer the original wording of that scannable before it was changed.

Ghosts can see the past lives and memories of a person before Resurrection and determine if they should be revived. That is the true part of the lore. So the Ghost saying that just means he scanned the person, saw what he was through, but couldn't revive him. When he "tried" to resurrect him, it didn't happen. Ghosts still only have one chosen guardian to revive.
