How could the traveler destroy the darkness it almost breaks the laws of the universe, light cannot exist without darkness; and darkness without the light. Which finally brings me to my point the ancient battle between the light and dark was never meant to be for one to destroy the other. It has been a contest of strength and dominance since... Well the begining of time, i hope y'all are still with me ok now we all know that the darkness is meant to be evil and destroy anything the traveler has built. So why, why us? The darkness in all likely hood could have ended our complete existance when we entered the pyramid with nothing but a thought. But it didn't I don't think the darkness ever planned to kill the guardians it wanted to show how powerful it truly was and cause our guardian to want fight on its side. Now it litteraly didn't have to do any of this but it went out of its way to bring foes of our pasts back from the dead and it purposefully spoke to use. But it had no reason to if the darkness is indeed as bad as we say it is then we are less than insects to it. It doesn't care about us we are insignificant to them in terms of power but it, they went out of their way with the full intention of meeting us. ( I'm rambling at this point but bear with me) it brings me to the idea that destiny 3 will be a second coming of the war between the light and the darkness; but this time the darkness will have guardians ( personally I prefer the term harbinger) of it own. Whoop done finally... Not gonna lie that probably sounds like the crazed ramblings of someone who plays this game waaaaaaay to much.[/quote] The Darkness and Light are not really Darkness and Light. They are paracausal forces that are remnants of the Winnower and Gardeners ideology. One does not depend on the other to exist. They are just two different mechanics of two different wills and they represent two different beliefs on how existence should progress. The entire Destiny universe was two pre-universal toddlers playing with toys, and the other getting bored and trying to take toys into another room to play a different way, and the other not liking it. Then the two fought with their toys (Pyramids and Traveler) until one had enough and made the other lower their guard trying to offer peace, and a fight ending blow was struck. From the battle, the room got destroyed, leaving more parts of the house (the universe) exposed and other toys changed and scattered (the worms, ahamkara, and all other races that would emerge millions of years later) A silly example I know, but this is it: the birth of the Destiny universe as we know it. Also, we are not insignificant to them. The Pyramids are protective of the Vex and favor them because they were the default pattern in the garden and would consume all others and simplify existence. The Traveler favors us because we thrive on diversity and protect diversity, which is how the Gardener wanted to play existence: many different branching paths for different life forms and not one definite end.
