Totally washed out saturated colors in all of Destiny 2

Just got a new set-up (Acer Nitro VG240Y & MSI Ventus RTX 2060) and Destiny 2 is unplayable because of the washed out whites and over-saturation. I have played several other games and the monitor looks great, but as soon as I load Destiny 2 it completely changes. I have updated monitor and GPU drivers, changed HDR/brightness/contrast/gamma and nothing has meaningfully changed the warped colors in-game. I tried messing with monitor settings and in-game settings, and some of it marginally helps but the colors remain generally unwatchable and then other games look terrible. Please help! Any advice or guidance is appreciated.

  • Hey, I was having the same problem with my Acer VG271U monitor, went through a whole bunch of forum posts about color settings and such. I found that Destiny 2 overrides your choice in the Nvidia control panel of whether you want applications or Nvidia to control color settings. Yet that was only for fullscreen mode, so I made sure Nvidia control panel was controlling color, used Geforce Experience to edit the display setting, and when it loaded up it looked just as it did on my last monitor. I also had to adjust the window position using the config file (%APPDATA%\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs) by setting window_position_x and window_position_y both to 0. I don't really like windowed mode typically, but the colors I was seeing were terrible, so it's worth it. I hope this helps!
