11 RepliesSuch a stupid idea. You'll never get a raid done if you're matchmaking.
-
We had MM via guided games. It didn’t work. Don’t beat a dead horse.
-
So you can blame others for wiping 1000 times in a raid instead of the sorry fireteam that picks you up? Right.
-
13 RepliesRaid matchmaking would be shit. Also, lfg exists.
-
I can already see all the hate MM on raids will get if it goes live. The forums will blow up with 'MY TEAMMATES SUCK' type of posts. From people that won't work togheter or simply will troll you by doing stuff the wrong way. Destiny's raids are (while not diffecult) just too complex for this community to do as just some randoms thrown togheter.
-
You're the kind of person to join a KWTD raid team with 0 clears, fail multiple times on the first encounter, screech obscenities at everyone else and blame them for failure, before getting booted and coming here to caps lock scream, aren't you? You're the reason that not all activities should be matchmade
-
3 RepliesA better solution, in my opinion, is to make smaller-scale raid activities that are match-made but are still raid-level difficulty for those who simply can't get the time for a proper raid. They could even use them as a basic tutorial to familiarize players with the raid mechanics in a smaller scale environment as a training ground for people who want to actually learn hands-on how mechanics will work. With something like this, everyone will be able to get the pinnacle reward for the raid, presuming they're skilled enough to finish this activity, while those dedicated enough to actually do the main raid will have another source of raid gear once a week.
-
2 RepliesRandom people cant even manage making a public event heroic, what do you think they gonna do in a raid, but by all means go ahead it be your funeral
-
7 RepliesThe only people who don't want matchmaking are the elitists who allready have a regular group of people to do the raids with every week. They wanna keep feeling better and superiour than the *regular destiny player* and cant stand the thought that those players also are wearing the rad armor sets and also have the weapons you can only get from doing the raids. If those elitists allready have a regular team / clan...then what is the problem with matchmaking? Matchmaking would atleast make practise for regular players possible.
-
Why? So you can hope to get carried at your 910 light level. Your the main reason bungie will never do it.
-
I USE ALL CAPS SO I SOUND LIKE A BIG BOY!!!!! WOAHJANAHSBHE
-
That would be horrible. Randoms are stupid as is.
-
If there is to be raid matchmaking it needs to be easy mode, like no token mechanics. Then premades can go into prestige versions which would be tougher and offer cooler gear variants like how Leviathan had glowy armor. But none of that is eververse so this will likely never happen despite how much better it would make the game imo.

Edited by RavensMyths: 11/12/2019 1:00:06 PMRaid matchmaking? I don’t know about that. I feel like there need to be some form of structure when raiding. Everyone can not be a leader, and there will be multiple people trying to run things. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t have countless hours to waste trying to raid with random people. One of the main reasons I don’t use lfg, but at least with that you can weed out what kind of players you want to play with. And it’s not hard to find a decent clan of adults. There’s plenty on here.

DO YOU WANT THIS GAME TO DIE BECAUSE I CANT PROGRESS IN ANY OF MY QUESTS?
I really doubt that's how it works
-
1 ReplyMatch making should apply to everything except Raids. If you picked up the Divinity quest, that's fine. But please don't use the fact that you need to go into the Raid to finish it as a way to try and back up your demands. It's a Raid Exotic, so of course you're going to have to go into the Raid to do it. Every single person who started it was fully aware of that when they started it. Just try and do any of the puzzles for Divinity with a team of randoms and some people might not even have mics. Because that's basically what you're asking for.
-
Or do like I do. I have my kid run raids and quests with his friends. I then go to the collection tab and profit.
-
That’s your fault if your friends don’t play the game. Get a clan to do the raid or other quests. No big deal. Lol
-
You know there is a tab...in the destiny app...completely devoted to finding fireteams for activities... Problem solved ^^;
-
-
There is an app for that you know?
-
I upvoted because that screaming was kind of impressive.
-
90 RepliesI don’t see why anyone would be against this if it’s optional.
-
I doubt it will help you progress once you see who you're match made with. You'll have a whole team of those that can't butt chug a gallon of milk. That being said, it doesn't bother me if there's matchmaking for everything as long as you can also go in with your own fireteam and have it work as it does now, meaning no automatic additions if one of your fireteam members drops out.
-
WE ALREADY HAVE MATCHMAKING ON RAIDS.
