Does anybody know if they actually exist in the lore? Ive been hearing some stuff thrown around about them and its pretty interesting. Supposedly the Vex we are fighting are mere builders and the vex can dish out way worse.

The only guardians who may have ever witnessed the use of warrior vex are likely saint-14 and kabr considering they seem to be the only guardians to ever cause huge trouble for the vex, though I’d say kabr probably didn’t ever see any. Saint-14 however killed so many vex that they made a tomb to honor him, the vex just don’t do that which is both a testament to how badass and strong he was but also to how much effort they put into ending him, i think therefore at some point warrior vex must have been deployed against saint and even though none are in his burial chamber that is likely not the only place he fought for hundreds or more years nonstop, therefore he probably killed quite a few warrior vex before being pushed to his tomb.

Edited by Grays_KS27: 9/29/2019 10:08:48 PMDestiny’s lore has established since the beginning (they actually stated it outright in all the original Vex grimoires) that the Vex we face are primarily designed for the purpose of construction, and battle is only a secondary function. In the Books of Sorrow, during the Osmium Throne Incursion, Quria unleashes the warrior Vex in Oryx’s Throne World, slaughtering thousands of Hive to gain power through Sword Logic, despite the Hive having an advantage in the Ascendant Realm. This is the only time the warrior Vex have been spoken of. https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/xxxix-open-your-eye-go-into-it#books-of-sorrow

Never see any builders building. They just want to be paid to make it look cool. Silly builders.

Umm, yes. They are mentioned many times by several sources, but mostly the Books of Sorrow.

1 Reply<One day, Oryx left his Throne World to witness the Deep annihilate a planet. In his absence, his idiot son, Crota, wanted to one-up his sisters (who had just invented the Oversoul). He swiped his sword, which caused a rift in space-time and allowed the Vex to enter the Ascendant Plane. The Vex were confused by this new space, as paracausality was wholly unfamiliar. They began to convert, and then Crota retaliated. The Vex performed what's labeled as a "ritual-of-better-thoughts" and created Quria, Blade Transform. Quria deduced how the Hive's Sword Logic worked and decided that killing a bunch of low-level Hive would make the Vex strong enough to contend with the then-OP Ascendant Hive. So the Vex sent in combat units, who avoided Crota until they slew LEGIONS of Thrall and Acolytes. Once that was accomplished, they could dish it out with Crota and his siblings.>
