It's still not clear what Bungie plan on doing about somebody attempting to play Destiny 2 by the Steam feature known as 'Steam Play'.
As at the time of writing the message, my petition has 1110 supporters.
Can Bungie please let us know if you still plan on banning people that attempt to do this?
The last update on this was June 8th:

At this time, it will not be possible to play Destiny 2 on Steam Play, but it's possible we will re-evaluate that closer to launch in September.

Note, not looking for fan boys personal opinion on the matter. Would like an official response from Bungie on what will happen on October 1st when I launch Destiny 2 via Steam Play.
Also note that the current Bungie terms and conditions do not explicitly prohibit this

I guess as I'm probably not going to get a response from Bungie I'll just have to wait and see if I get banned or not...

Since I found this thread early on a search engine, a quick update for anyone else looking. Bungie has taken the burned bridges approach. to Linux and the SteamDeck. "Players who are not accessing Destiny 2 through Windows and attempt to bypass the SteamOS/Proton incompatibility will be met with a game ban." https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049024592-Destiny-2-Steam-Guide

I wonder if Bungie will ban players using Wine/Proton to run this game in windows? Since it could be autodetect as a manipulation of the network interaction or binary files of the game.
