Do you punish cheaters? (COMP WIN TRADING)
Everyday I play against people who manipulated matchmaking in Competitive for free wins, the 0 kills 0 death matches. Why is this allowed? To reach legend for not forgotten just for using another team to quit for you.
I know at least two clans with 20+ people who did that. Where can I report them (not in game of course)

Do they -blam!- punish cheats, Bungies bread and butter is cheats now the game is f2p. The entire game eco system will be made of cheats by the end of 2021. Bungie has commented by sending cease and desist letter to these cheat creators, but that's like me telling my Mrs to 'be quit!' it won't do -blam!- all. Cheats need a complete ip address ban, and anyone hiding that, shouldn't be allowed onto the game world. That would cure the vast majority of people who are pretty clueless when it comes to networking.

Like 9 of the 10 times I play Crucible against someone with a Not Forgotten they got their account hidden on Destinytracker or have the 0.00 stats. Alternative way is just to make the gun more accessible for players who don't want to cheat and actually earn the gun in a less impossible way. Like the way of the Redrix quest or like they done with the Revoker. I say this because the value of the Not Forgotten is gone already. It doesn't mean that you are a great PvP player anymore it shows the player who has most likely is a cheater.

Instead of complaining just switch back to dial up and become an immortal God and win every game.

10 RepliesAfter a game you can sit in orbit. (On console) you hit up on the directional pad and it brings up the last game you played. Make sure they are actually cheating and have proof. Don't report someone just because they are better than you at the game.

I believe they could detect win trades and take away rewards if they wanted. I think it could also help if at the beginning they officially acknowledged the problem (matchmaking abuse) and condemned it (they didn't as far as I know, did they ever?).

Bungie do absolutely nothing as I’ve reported people who have done this win trade on here and reported them via the website and given clear evidence as well and nothing’s been done.

Comp win traders never get punished because unless they brag about it publicly it’s almost impossible to find them

Bungie should track these players and lock access to comp weapons until they are earned legitimately but they wont, just like with trials they will always let cheaters get away with it unless a big time streamer or enough community pressure on certain blatant cheaters forces then to do something

It looks like they're trying to do a system that actually takes your skill into account for next season, so maybe it'll get better then. Only one way to find out. Though we could pull the "why is this allowed" card on many, many things...

Nope, they don't punish cheaters. Period. Some say they do, but I've reported tons of them but still see them around in game for months. They just want your money.

I’m surprised they haven’t done anything to these people, especially when you consider that they do have the tools for it since they gave restrictions to people who used similar methods in getting the Redrix’s Claymore....

Bungie doesn't care about the game just the promotion they get from streamers and silver purchases. The game will ALWAYS 100% continue to match teams or better players against solos and terribads, and allow cheaters to keep cheating.

Bungie does not punish anyone but the honest players in the game. If you cheat in any way or form... good for you, you will be fine. I've even found that there is a limit on the number of players you can block. I've met the limit and now I get a network error every time I try to block someone else. Bungie needs all the players they can get to keep this game alive. So cheat, hack or just make the game miserable for everyone around you. Bungie could care less about the cheaters and hackers, they want EVERYONE's money.

Because win-trading involves all willing participants and thus doesn't negatively impact others' game experience, nobody can get reported unless someone on either team later rats.

12 RepliesOf Course they don't. That is the only way to win in Comp. Bungie encourages it. Please stop complaining. They need legit players like yourself to be matched up against the cheaters so they can boast about their player count. I keep trying to find a way to cheat to join them but have thus far been unsuccessful. If you happen to come across the cheat coding, please forward along so that I too can get to Fabled and access pinnacle weapons like everyone else that has them.

1 ReplyNot trying to suck up to bungie but win trading seems like a pretty difficult thing to punish except for after the fact. You should probably be able to provide proof of someone with several games in a row against no people but you can’t do that until the damage is done, plus bungie is really hard on making people use the in game report system and idk how they would make that work for win trading

Maybe destiny is meant only for cheaters while other games are for fair people. Just saying.. Ps : cheat means to take advantage of the game trough 3rd party hardware or software, and how software on PS4 is not possible,hardware is and more than 50% of players use hardware like Macros or other and like I said will be bad for business to ban cheaters. That being said more than 50% of players are cheaters..

The problem with this is this isn't against any of the ban polices bungie has [url]https://www.bungie.net/7_Destiny-Account-Restrictions-and-Banning-Policies/en/Help/Article/11929[/url] Even if they implemented this rule tomorrow then can't then ban everyone who ever did it BEFORE the rules were updated. Is this frustrating you because now you are getting bad team mates at legend. Or is it frustrating to see people climbing the easy ladder beside you?

9 RepliesTo be honest, I want to cheat. The mountain top quest and solstice armor grinds have completely destroyed my motivation to play. I still want the rewards but I'm not willing to deal with the bs grind. A kill lobby seems like a way better experience than actually doing the MT quest.
