All I know is that he's worn the same leather pants since he got to the tower. I bet his ghost spends half the time reviving him from death by swamp-as s..

I'm pretty sure.

2 RepliesHe's Welsh, his voice actor isn't though, very confusing.....

5 RepliesPossibly Mongolian.

50 RepliesHe is racially ambiguous. A result of what happens when people evolve past primitive tribalism. The Golden Age put racial matters to rest. Perhaps we can try and start a little earlier.
One name he used during the dark age, after being risen into the light, was Wu Ming. This could mean he is if southeast Asian decent. It could ALSO mean something else, when looking at the connotation of the name and the way it is written/spoken. The name means “anonymous.” It could be that he simply chose it for that reason. Could be both. Seems like something he’d do.
2 RepliesHe looks more or less like his voice actor (with a bit of age and a beard), who is American/Vietnamese. So probably of some descent in the genealogical sense. What cultures and nationalities existed still in Destiny's future are kind of a toss up. Obviously we have Old Russia and the EDZ (and more recently the "historic heritage" mentioned in the Black Armory bounties) \seeming to root things relatively in the same 20/21st century setup. But then half the people are running around with oddball fantasy names, and we have medieval warlords playing at being Knights and so on, so clearly somewhere the culture took a big shift. Destiny's got that weird kind of quirk to post-apocalyptic sci-fi, that also crops up in Fallout. Where humanity persists, and is surrounded by literal history, and didn't actually have a dark age in the traditional sense. With actual human survivor lineages, and maintained technical capability. So its kind of weird that they have the disassociation with history that they do.

3 RepliesThe Drifter is called Drifter because when he drives he can't see well because he's Asian and so he drifts everywhere accidentally trying to keep his car straight.

It's hard to say. He looks Asian in many ways, but he has blue eyes. Asians don't normally have blue eyes. My guess is that he's at least part Asian.

He's a Rogue Lightbearer. Can you not read?
The name says it all
