Equip multiple exotics
Can we see if it would be possible to allow gaurdians to equip more than one exotic? I feel it's a bit of a waste to have so many exotics and to not be able to use them.

5 Replies100% Yes, but for me it should be like this Exotic weapons - You can have all 3 slots as exotics, some weapons (Osiris flawless) already have higher stats than exotics - so just let us use what we want Armor - Should be put up to at least 2 exotics, maybe 3, but no more. I’d say 2 is fine It would add a lot more variance to builds but not make people too op For me the main issue is the pvpers- Guardians shouldn’t be as weak in pvp as they currently are - we should effectively be named gold level A single rocket launcher shot shouldn’t kill a guardian regardless of damage, it should take 2 direct hits - This would balance it more for actual skill, not bs weapons, and open it up for people to equip more exotic armors at once

Long time ago I had a thought on this that could both make the grind of playing Destiny more interesting, but also more rewarding. Enact kind of a prestige mode for PVE. (Not allowing the perk in PVP). In stead of power level by gear it goes back to strictly being done with XP and "levels". And it takes a bit longer to hit a new level. Max level can be something like 999. Each time you hit max you can prestige. Maybe there is a quest involved. Prestiging not only resets your level, your powers, but also what you can equip, for a bit. You get some kind of symbol next to your name, and you get the bonus of being able to equip an additional exotic. Vanilla the game may only have 2 prestige. One to be able to wear one exotic, and then another to wear a second. As DLC/expansions come out we see a level cap increase in the way of being able to prestige again to equip another exotic. By the end of game's life span at true max level, max prestige, you can be fully decked out in exotics, and maybe have a transcended like aura. With the way exotics tend to work in Destiny this would also mean you've kind of "spec'd" into a build. You will look more powerful and feel much more powerful than your y1 vanilla version. Those at max prestige will also be the envy of those who have not achieved it yet. That was my idea. Based on what MMOs of old have done.

I'd like to see a family of exotics... for example; bring back red death in the energy slot and this pairs with crimson (neither have/did have distinctly game breaking perks)! Have a third, a sniper with a generic white nail perk, available in the heavy slot! When all three equipped together have a universal perk applied, something good but not too good; hot swap for example??? I'd also like to see sturm/drang move to just one slot - a genuine duel wield option! No ADS, so left/right just fires each gun; perks remain the same!

I would support a “Primary Armor Exotic” which are throughput increases (like for your supers, etc) and a “secondary armor exotic” which would be the utility based ones.

1 ReplyI think they should allow you to equip 2 weapon exotics if you don't equip an armor exotic or vice versa - two exotic armors and no weapons
