Destiny 2 installation stuck on 99%

After claiming the Destiny 2 game from my gifts, I began the download and got to about 80% of the download progress. Then I paused the download and safely exited from the battle.net app. Coming back a few days later, the download was 95% completed, and said 25 GB Remaining. Very strange if the game is 80GB. I paused the game and launched it through the folder, not the Battle.net Application and I got error code saxophone. Then i got the download going until 99%, where it got stuck at 0b/s. Nothing could let me get past 99% initializing. I waited roughly 30 mins and got nowhere. Not sure what I'm supposed to do. The download won't ever proceed to download, only initializing. Any help? Edit: I have tried doing scan/repair. Waiting a long time. Running battle.net as administrator. Restarting battle.net or my PC. My computer is well capable of running destiny 2, and my internet runs at 55 mbps download 5mbps upload.

  • If its stuck on initializing then its just a visual bug and it is indeed downloading. Just check the folder size then check again a few minutes later. Also i've found destiny 2 has terrible download speeds. I have a 1gb/s connection and get like 60mb/s.

  • Hey Pyro! Have you found an answer to this? Mine is also stuck at 99 percent. Tried all the support suggestions as well.

    • Might just have to uninstall and let it run without interruption next time. Pausing has a small chance to corrupt the especially if your system sleeps.

    • All I have to say is: Why did you exit the app instead of letting it run?!?! Is it waiting on something else like another game download? Have you checked your hard drive? Task Manager? Try deleting in and then redownloading it without logging off.
