Prolly TL;DR for the non NERDS out there, but there's something i just cannot find anywhere on here or reddit or youtube. As i am cutting my 8 of each weapon and armor down for space now that i'm 600 this info would help decide what to do with those almost god roll duplicates i have so many of. Again i've scoured youtube and here and the destiny sub-reddits and have yet to find anywhere a comprehensive list of the "hidden" perks of each weapon archetype. As for those wondering "who cares," it relates to getting that ever sought after "god roll."
For example in the old d2 sandbox:
precision frame = the d1 counterbalance perk built in
This 'converts' most of the horizontal recoil direction into vertical, making a sloppy weapon into a more easily controlled one, removing perhaps the need for a stability random roll. Think, Uriels is a lazer beam despite tap the trigger perk stopping after a few bullets.
rapid fire frame = the d1 perk Spray and play
This gives that weapon fast reload on empty before considering any other rolls
aggressive frame = high cal rounds built into the weapon
This was at one time an absolutely must have perk before the HCR nerf. The way that perk works(ed) is the more impact the weapon had the more dramatic the flinch experienced by the target you hit
So the reason i'm looking for a comprehensive list of the hidden perks is because the description in game generally only hinting at what the weapon archetype does to the weapon. Further wondering IF this archetype hidden perk mechanic still exists in forsaken or if archetype is mostly irrelevant now and what you roll is what you get on the weapon.
Since we know the lightweight archetype still works as it did since launch, and doesn't require the 'moving target' perk to see a benefit in ads and moving aim assist. And i assume the 2 don't stack for double benefit. I'm left assuming all the archetype "hidden" perks are still active. If that is the case, has anyone ever made a comprehensive list? Because combining this knowledge of what is built into a weapon by virtue of archetype can take a good roll and turn it into a god roll.
Further, better understanding those intrinsic perks can help a person avoid losing a perk slot to a perk that the gun already has built in and likely doesn't stack anyway. IE, if aggressive frame still adds high cal rounds, getting the HCR perk on that weapon is probably redundant doesn't add more stagger and instead costs a valuable ammo perk slot that the range of accurized or ricochet OR the reload and stability of a flared mag would synergize better with anyway.
Is there a list of weapon archetypes that actually includes explains their intrinsic hidden perks?
If these perks still attach to archetype, do they stack or is combining the same or similar perk that is built into that frame redundant and a waste of a roll??

Fantastic questions and I wonder about these exact things all the time! It would be so good to have confirmed numbers on this stuff.

Edited by AlphaLion42: 10/18/2018 4:01:56 AMI totally hear you. I’ve been asking a question for a few months now that nobody seems to be able to answer. If I have an aggressive frame weapon, (which apparently has the hidden perk of high caliber rounds), what happens when you receive high caliber rounds as a perk on that wWeapon? Do you do more damage or more not back? Is it a useless park at that point? Thank you for posting this
